Chapter 2; Sebastian Calibre

Trinity handed the documents to me with a cold aura. I couldn't ask him exactly what it was in the documents. For the years I had been here, I could do anything I was asked to get out so I could make Kyle pay for what he had done to me for all these years. He was going to get exactly the test of his own medicine. Scrolling through the documents nervously, I saw marriage terms in it. On top of it was a written marriage certificate. “What the hell does this all mean? This is a marriage certificate, Trinity. For a year and then am back here.” I yelled as pushed the papers aside. Why was I going from one prison to another? I was to accept any condition but looking at the load of papers in the contract that had just been handed to me, I knew this was not just a usual marriage. I was being sold out. “Eh ah..” Trinity cleared his throat as he picked up the contract that had been thrown onto the ground. “Mr. Maxom says he will only let you go if you sign this marriage certificate.” Trinity continued. Kyle could never let me go if he had nothing to gain in this because I was going to be with another man and he would weaken. Whatever he was going to gain from this must be something big. “What is there for Moxom to gain if I sign this marriage certificate?” I spoke staring at Trinity who turned away his face nervously. “Are you selling me to a rich Lord? Is Maxom Group running into bankruptcy?” I continued and seeing his expression, I could tell that this marriage was important to Maxom. “That is none of your business Ms Charlotte. Do you want to leave this place or not?” He asked trying to keep up face. I stared at him for a long time while still lost in my mind. Whichever rich Lord they were selling to me? He couldn't be any better than Kyle and I was sure he could even be worse. I had to escape them. They had to pay for whatever they did to me someday and I wouldn't do that if I became someone else's prisoner. The plan now was to escape the moment I got out of there. “I will sign the marriage certificate.” I grabbed the papers from his hand and a pen and signed with my shaky hands, I hadn't written anything in a long time. I didn't bother to check who I was being contracted to be married to. The only thing that was in my mind was how to get out of there. After all, it was only a year of contract marriage. Kyle thought he would have me back after that year but I would never allow that to happen. Asking for my hand in marriage in exchange for helping Kyle Moxom, that Lord must have been so interested in me. Was he my second mate or something? I read about such coincidences happening in one of our ancestral werewolf books whereby a wolf could have more than one mate. I blushed off that thought as I laid back on the bed and Trinity walked out with quick steps. Laying back onto the bed, I didn't know how long it was until they would pick me up. In my form, no man in his normal sense would like to have me as his bride. A few minutes later, two ladies walked in, one with a black gown and the other with a box. It was when she opened it that I realized it was a make-up box. I was already feeling dizzy but Oliver walked in the next moment with a meal. I don't know when I last ate a slice of pizza and some dumplings. After taking a few bites, I was feeling much better now and thinking clearly. One of the ladies worked on my face applying makeup but it still didn't cover up my paleness. My hair was very thin and she could only put it in a messy bun. Dressing up in a white gown that reached my feet, it didn't hug my body even a bit. I was sure the long gown was to cover my bruised ankles and the sharp nails Kyle had deep into my skin whenever he was angry. A tear slightly dropped from my eyes as a bigger mirror was brought in front of me. This was the opposite of how I looked when I was still an artist. Oliver walked me out of the basement and I slowly stepped on the stairs heading upstairs, this was the house I had dreamt of being in so we could build a family with Kyle but it had all been a dream. The more I thought about it, my heart arched. How could I have been so naive? We walked through the hallway to the sitting room and I tried to dim my eyes as the bright lights from the open windows were too much for my eyes. I immediately recognized the bold form of Kyle the moment we entered the living room, next to him stood his wife who stared at me with a smug. There was another man in a sweaty shirt that displayed his packs and black pants. He was simple but classy with well-combed dark hair and a long face. His diamond-shaped blue eyes were wandering around. My heart pumped as I stared at him. He was too handsome to be someone interested in me. Was he the rich Lord? “There she is!” Kyle grinned awkwardly. The gentleman turned towards me with a sharp gaze and froze for a moment scanning me from top to bottom like I was about to be his meal in the next few minutes. He quickly turned his darting sight towards Kyle and Jenna with disdain. Didn't he really like me that he had to stare furiously at Kyle, was he about to take his word back? Was he expecting to meet the exact Charlotte the artist? I knew I looked nothing like her right now. All these questions filled my mind. “Mr. Calibre!” Kyle called out making me snap out of my thoughts just to be pushed back in them for the next seconds. Calibre! My heart raced. The renowned top one business owners all over the world. No wonder Kyle bowed so much to him. But what did they want to do with me? Wait! I thought the only heir to the Calibre business had become vegetative. Who exactly was I getting married to? Who was this gentleman standing in front of me? “Please Mr. Glen ….Your brother Sebastian! We couldn't find him a wife on short notice. You know no lady wanted to marry a vegetative man. We tried a lot of them but this was the only one that accepted.” Kyle spoke giving me a sharp gaze not to dare make it look like it was a transaction. It now felt like I had been slapped in the face. How would I revenge on Kyle and make his wolf howl in pain if I were getting married to a vegetative? It was like my dreams had been shattered once again. I could now tell why they wanted me to go to the Calibre family. There was nothing more they could want from me. Only a lady in my state would agree to marry a vegetative man. And I had signed the papers unknowingly. The Calibre family was rumored to be more cruel than the Moxom Group. In the past, if Sebastian caught anyone from their Calibre Group betraying him, he/she would be killed. Glen had clenched his fist at what Kyle had just spoken. He stood up before Kyle finished talking. My heart raced not wanting to leave now, even though Sebastian Calibre was in a vegetative state, he would still be a danger to my life. God knows what they would do to me if they found out my escape plans. It would be worse. I wished he decided to go without me. I could not get married to his vegetative brother. “Ms. Charlotte!” Glen Calibre called me out with his domineering voice.
