Chapter 4 The moon was high in the sky. We saw the glow through the cracks of the gate. Just as we started to wonder when the shifting was going to begin, it did. It was the most painful we've ever experienced. Every bone broke and reassembled a moment later. The worst thing was that both animals shifted at the same time. At one point the lower half of us was shifted in Cyon, and the top half in Nimra. Then all bones fractured again, and the animals where on the left and right side of the body. Time stood still. We were in survival mode, trying to pull through this. We heard someone scream. It was an echo in the cave, it was us. We howled and wailed. We screamed at the top of our longs.
