Chapter 10: Resolution
When he recovered there was, as is often the case with males, a restrained, uncomfortable air, as though he was embarrassed. I continued to sit beside him, however, just enjoying the casual contact at the shoulders.
He sipped his beer again, and then said, “And that’s why I had to find out exactly what he and you had done together. I had to know.”
I nodded.
He looked at me, eyes searching my face. There must have been something in my expression, for a slow, sheepish grin formed onto his features.
