SELENE’S POV The housekeeper let me in without saying a word. She was middle-aged, quiet, and calm. She showed me to a room upstairs and didn’t ask who I was or why I was here. The room was cold and spotless, the kind of luxury I’d only ever seen in movies. “Don said you should wait here,” the housekeeper said, then left, shutting the door behind her.
