My heart continued wildly in my chest as I listened to his orders. Another guard stood beside us. I was now surrounded by him in the middle. We headed to the one way that leads to the underground opening. The door leading to my doom, opened to a car park, the cold air slammed into me and I could feel my body shaking and my fingers curling from the cold. The guard holding my hands tightened his grip on my arms while scanning the area for any anomaly. I remembered the advice I do give my clients when they find themselves in a dangerous situation, but it wasn't easy to implement, to be observant of my environment because my mind was restless. Rain water dripped from the ceiling pipes onto the floor in a corner as we made our way to the black luxury SUV parked against the wall opposite us. Dante Moretti walked several steps ahead of everyone else, calm and silent as though tonight had been nothing more than a business meeting to him. I stared at the back of his head in disbelief. How could one be so calm? It was a clear sign of a mental illness, and he needed therapy, but of course, I couldn't say that to him if I still wanted my head on my neck. The bald guard flung the door open, and of course, I was lost in thoughts and found myself being flung in the air before landing like a sack of potatoes on the backseat of the car. The door of the car was closed before I got to my senses and screamed. “You can't do this to me, you can't kidnap me,” I shrieked as panic cursed through me. The skinny guard smirked at me like my fear was an entertainment to him. I kept screaming when Dante turned towards me, his eyes holding visible irritation. “You witnessed something you were not supposed to see in your entire life and since you did that, your human rights are gone.” Fear strangled me, making it difficult to speak. “Please,” I whispered weakly. “Nobody knows my whereabouts," I begged. “That is the only reason you're still alive,” He replied coldly and detached. Was this my fate? I thought as I sobbed into the crook of my arm. I looked around desperately for an escape route, but there was none. The place was filled with armed uniform men who were Dante’s men and obeyed him alone. They went into different cars prepared for departure. If he were to kill me here, no one would object, and there was nowhere on earth I was going to escape them. Millions of thoughts were on my mind. How do I survive Dante Moretti? Dante entered the car and sat opposite me, the tension surrounded me and wrapped me like a second skin. What if I moved the wrong way, and he decides to end me just here? The image of the dead man in the room made my belly twist and the little biscuit I ate with water rose up and out it went on the polished seats of the car. Fear cursed through me as I thought of my impending doom. Surprisingly, he paused the car and asked the skinny guard to clean up my mess. I sat there paralyzed in shock as I watched him clean up my mess.
The guard cleaned the mess, then the engine started. Silence filled the car except for the sound of thunder, lightning and rain sounds hitting the windows. I forced myself not to be scared. Across from me , Dante sat with his arm resting against the seat, his expression. Up close, he looked even more dangerous, not because of his physical appearance and tattoos on the body, but because he was full of control and authority. “You analyze people and can recognize those who need help. What is your conclusion so far about me?” he asked while looking intensely at me, studying my reaction to his question. I felt like I was in a war zone and my answer was what would decide if I was going to stay alive or not................. "You already know people are afraid of you,” I answered in a whisper. He stared at me, his eyes searching for mine. “I want to know what you think of me as a therapist.” I stared at him. I knew this was still a test and I valued my life above all, so I kept quiet. He chuckled softly. “Sooner or later, you will tell me what I want to hear. The SUV suddenly turned through a massive iron gate. I looked outside and felt my world was about to go down within a twinkle of an eye. This was a golden cage, my golden cage.
