Aiden called in sick the next morning. Everything was in turmoil over at the theatre because Stephan was at the hospital with a severe concussion and the Merely Players had a show scheduled that night. Glen got on the phone and insisted that Aiden was in no condition to be at work. It took some more convincing, but eventually the theatre manager just sighed, told Aiden to feel better, and hung up.
Glen made Aiden breakfast before heading to the church. “You make sure that gets to Father Sabella!” Aiden said. “We don’t need it falling into the wrong hands.”
