Kaden stood outside Raven's door for the fifth time that day while pressing his ear against the wood to listen for any sound of movement inside. Nothing came through except the same silence that had greeted him every other time he tried to check on her. "Raven," Kaden called softly, knocking twice. "You need to eat something." Still no response which meant she was either ignoring him or she had fallen asleep again from exhaustion. Either way Kaden felt worry gnawing at his insides because Raven had been locked in that room for hours now without showing any signs of coming out. He had tried everything he could think of to get her to open the door. He brought her favorite foods that she refused to touch. He told her stories through the door about their childhood missions together. H
