Kaden pulled Raven around the corner with more force than necessary. He couldn't stand watching her look at Aaron like he was something precious when she had never looked at him that way in all the years they had known each other.
He pushed her against the wall with his hand over her mouth to keep her from yelling at him or worse, from calling for that pathetic king to come rescue her.
"Don't scream," Kaden hissed when he felt her trying to bite his palm. "We need to talk without your new boyfriend coming to save you."
He pulled his hand away from her mouth slowly, watching her face for signs that she was going to do something stupid.
Raven glared at him with fury in her eyes that would have been terrifying if he wasn't so angry himself.
