Raven spun around so fast, Kaden barely had time to pull his blade back before she could grab it. Her eyes went wide when she saw his face, and for a moment she just stared at him like she couldn't believe he was real. "Kaden," She breathed, her voice barely a whisper. "What are you doing here?" "What do you think I'm doing here?" Kaden kept his voice low because they were still standing in the middle of a palace corridor where anyone could walk by. "You missed your deadline and Solomon is furious. He wanted to come himself, but I convinced him to let me come instead." Raven's face went pale. She grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the door, down the hallway toward an empty room. She checked to make sure no one was inside before dragging him in and closing the door behind them
