Becca is pregnant!
The revelation hangs in the air, like a bombshell that briefly renders me speechless.
My thoughts rush as I attempt to grasp the implications.
“Pregnant?” I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper. “Do you still believe that hurting Zane will solve anything? It'll only make things worse, Alex.”
This situation is becoming increasingly complex. Poor Zane would make an excellent father, especially since the child's mother is Becca, whom he loves deeply and with great happiness.
It's such a disaster.
The woman Zane despises the most insists that her children are his and wants to become his wife.
"This is an unforeseen development," I acknowledged. "Given this new information, it seems wise to reject her and seek a second chance mate."
