Becca’s POV
"Jonas, it's me, Becca!" I shouted joyfully into the phone once the call connected.
"Becca!" his voice exclaimed in surprise at the other end. "I've been trying to figure out how to reach you. Alex was here at Moon Shine and asked me about the last call."
I expected that, so it's not a surprise to me.
"I hope you haven't caved under the pressure," I said. "He can be quite intimidating sometimes."
Jonas chuckled.
"Not at all. He gave it a shot, but I held my own. Becca, you really need to leave that place. Elyon and Alex are teaming up and could pose a threat to you. I suspect Elyon is plotting to pull you away from Alex somehow, I’m not sure exactly how he plans on doing this but one thing’s for sure, it's crucial for you to escape their schemes."
