Alerted by the panic in my voice, Alex leapt from his lounger.
“Alpha Elyon, what's going on?” he growled, annoyed. I stood up too, staring at my phone.
“I just got a hint from an Alpha friend that the Council will soon be investigating your relationship with Becca. There are suspicions that you are holding her here against her will.”
