Kiana cornered Lyra after class, her voice dripping with venom like a poisoned dagger. "What's going on with you and Zephyr Vex? You think he's interested in you?" She stepped closer, her designer heels clicking on the floor like a countdown timer to disaster. The scent of her expensive perfume wafted through the air, a nauseating reminder of her desperation. Lyra raised an eyebrow, unfazed by the impending storm. "What's it to you, Kiana?" She folded her arms, a subtle challenge in her eyes that sparked like fireworks on a summer night. Her smile was polite, but her gaze was ice-cold, a warning shot across the bow. Kiana's eyes narrowed into slits. "He's a Vex. You don't know what that means. He's just using you to get ahead." Her gaze raked over Lyra's thrift-store clothes, a sneer twisting her lips like a bad habit. "You think you're his type? Please." Lyra laughed, a low, sultry sound that sent shivers down Zephyr's spine (who was watching from across the hallway). "You mean like how your dad buys you friends?" She leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper that was almost a caress. "Newsflash, Kiana: not everyone wants something from you." Her eyes sparkled with amusement, a daredevil glace that made Kiana's face turn red with rage. Kiana stormed off, leaving Lyra to smile sweetly at Zephyr, who was now walking towards her with a grin. ?
