THE ART REVEAL

305 Words
The news exploded like a supernova, fueled by Kiana's venomous whispers and Rina's eager sharing. Within hours, Lyra's fanart was all over social media, her pseudonym exposed, and her art scrutinized by everyone. The comments rolled in, a tidal wave of praise and criticism that left Lyra reeling. "How did this happen?" she whispered, scrolling through her notifications with a sense of dread. Her eyes widened as she saw the screenshots of her old posts, her heart sinking with each new comment. The art she'd created in secret, the art she'd poured her heart and soul into, was now public property. Zephyr's text popped up on her screen, his words like a lifeline in the storm. "Lyra, what's going on? I saw your art online. Why didn't you tell me?" The hurt in his voice was palpable, and Lyra felt a pang of guilt. "I didn't want it to affect us," she typed, her fingers trembling. "I wanted you to like me for me, not my art." The response was immediate. "I like you for you, Lyra. But I wish you'd trusted me." The words stung, and Lyra felt a lump form in her throat. As the drama unfolded, Zephyr's parents descended upon him, their disapproval icy cold. "Zephyr, what is this? You're a Vex, not some anonymous artist!" his mother snapped, her voice dripping with disdain. Zephyr stood tall, his eyes flashing defiance. "It's my art, Mother. Mine. And I won't stop doing it." The tension was palpable as Lyra's world crumbled, and Zephyr's secrets were exposed. The city lights twinkled outside, a reminder that life went on, even when everything felt like it was falling apart. Lyra took a deep breath, steeling herself for the storm ahead. She had to face the music, and hope that Zephyr would be there to catch her.
