2. Foes and allies

This surprised me, but my anger was unhinged and out of control.

“SHUT UP! How pathetic are you! Trying to lie your way out of here, none of you thought twice before abusing me or using me, you called me a demon.

Let´s assure you I am no demon, but I will guarantee for you three and all other adults in this building I am jury, judge AND executioner since you are all guilty in neglect, and abuse of innocent children! I wanted to show a new trick I had learned which, whatever it is apparently comes with the ability to have red-glowing red eyes.”

I said and let the change take over, I was still standing on two legs growing, but I felt myself grow, the fur sprouting from everywhere, teeth growing and claws coming out. I watched them and they were all looking extremely pale and ready to s**t themselves.

They shivered in fear and reeked of it, “ pl… plea.. please spare us. We didn´t mean to d…” the principal began and I sent him a look, shutting him up “I DON’T F**KING CARE! HOW MANY KIDS HAVE YOU SOLD TO THIS DISGUSTING MAN? HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU ABUSED OTHER KIDS? You misused your position and now I will help you from your awful life!”

I saw red and before any of them could say anymore I ripped them apart, the bl**d was everywhere when I was done, I ripped the door of its hinges, like the wind I ran trough the compound k****ng every grown up I came across, they all smelled of s*x or power and I hated it. I opened one door and saw a woman clutching a little girl close to her chest. Her eyes went from the girl to me and her eyes went wide in shock. “So it´s true..” she said no more than a whisper, she didn´t show any signs of fear.

This threw me of guard, therefore I turned and ran out the way I had come. Finishing every other adult on my way, when I was done I sank down onto the floor completely worn out I was covered in bl**d, but still I felt a great satisfaction knowing I had finally gotten rid of all those who had harmed me throughout my life all except for one.

I stood up and walked towards the room I had left before slamming the door open to look inside to see the woman still there now sitting with the sleeping girl in her lap, I morphed back into my own body.

She looked at me “Shh before you do anything, please let me put her down so I wont wake her up, she has been through so much.” She said, putting the girl in the little bed. Afterwards, she just went right past me out of the door, leaving me behind, and I saw red NOBODY ignored me! I followed her out into the hallway and she turned and looked at me.

“As a staff member here, you were guilty, not because you participated, but because you didn´t react when kids were harmed.” I said to her she just sighed before she said “I know how you must feel about me as a grown up, I take whatever verdict you find befitting” She said and bowed her neck in what looked like submission.

That confused me more than anything else, but, whatever, I was determined to start completely from scratch and, since I apparently was declared dead, that would be easy enough, I descended towards the old lady, but suddenly a thundering growl snapped me out of my thoughts. Before me, in front of the door stood a giant wolf it's lips were withdrawn and all his white sharp teeth were on view.

The old woman didn´t even seem shocked as she went over and just padded the wolf.

I looked at her in awe of how she could be so daring. I knew I could finish it, but she was just human. I had no idea what I was. “Easy now Enzo, he has been through a lot, and by his standards I am guilty, you can´t hurt him, he is the one, one of those!”

She said cryptically ´what the f*ck did that mean, what the he** was going on? Suddenly my nose picked up something I hasn´t sensed before not only the wolf but some underlying notes you only would find on humans, before I could think it even further the wolf shimmered and in it's stead stood a young man around my age, he was really bulky and big.

The newcomer looked at the woman, before he cast a look at me he raised his eyebrow at me, I felt a low growl in my throat when he looked me in the eyes “what the hell is the matter with you!? How dare you even attempt to threaten the only grown up in this place who actually cared about the kids, but knew if she did too much she would be fired and never been let back in, making the kids loosing everything, every goddamn ounce of love they ever knew. (he looked at me, safe to say he furious, before his features softened a bit looking at the woman) Are you okay Nanna? Did he hurt you?” He walked over to the woman and hugged her “STOP Enzo! (she said) he is the one in the legends can't you feel his power even if he is suppressing it.”

I frowned starting to feel annoyed why did they keep speaking like I wasn't even here, I growled loudly making them turn towards me, the new man looked at me and smirked “what´s the matter, doesn´t like to feel ignored the high and mighty legend himself, think he can do whatever he like without consequences.”

He tried to rile me up I could feel it on him, but before I could react I picked up a distant sound of sirens hastily coming closer I broke in between the two and said “whatever the f**k you are talking about we are about to get company” I said as the supposed Enzo looked at me with a mock expression suddenly the sirens was a lot closer and I saw his eye get wide in surprise with a puzzled expression, the old lady suddenly said “hurry Enzo you have to go, neither of you can get caught in this, you have to take him elsewhere to safety, you know what he means to the future.” I saw him look at me, his brows furrow before determination made it to his eyes, he looked at her like they were having a conversation before he looked at me, I could feel the anger coursing trough me what the hell is happening and by being ignored, whatever is inside me did NOT like to be ignored. Before I could react, he made it towards me and I took a step back, growling at the threat so the walls rattled, I saw him stopping in his tracks.

Enzo PoV.

I don´t know how to react to what had happened, but I could see the young man in front of me who emanated power, but he was acting like a wild beast, if the legends were correct, he was the ultimate force in our world.

No alpha could stand beside him.

I could feel the anger swirling inside him, and confusion, and now his focus was on me and he was growling. I have absolutely no doubt if I made one wrong move I would be teared apart. But I still had to convince him to leave before those damn sirens arrived. They belonged to the cruelest alpha to ever have lived, he has involved himself with hunters and even vampires. He holds himself on good turf with that trash through establishments like this, because one thing vampires loved was bl**d, s*x and especially children, which is why so many kids disappeared under the cover of them being adopted. Unfortunately, he has barked up the wrong tree this time, and I have no doubt we would see more of him if we survived this s**t.

“come on man, chill, I will not hurt you….” Before I could even continue, he laughed a harsh rough laughter “yahh you know, you and everybody else, the last fucker who said that to me imprisoned, me for years and beat me and did unthinkable things to me, so excuse me for not believing s**t coming from anyone!” I saw the wrath and the doubt but nowhere was fear visible in his features or in his heartbeat, I was in no doubt that the young man before me had potential to be either a beacon of hope or if not carefully he would bring h*ll upon this very earth with powers he apparently didn´t understand, but someone would have to take that job upon them to help guide him into the man he is destined to be, but I have a feeling its not something you just do since he is THE ULTIMATE ALPHA he is the alpha of Alphas he is the one most blessed by our goddess, and he is the one who have been treated horribly, looking at his skin i could see they had never given him time to recover, it's no surprise he has trust issues, the elderly lady who is my nana mindlinked me “Enzo I know your pride is strong but you have to show him you trust him. We can´t afford the alpha to get to him, he will either k*ll him or manipulate him and, by that account, he will be able to enslave the whole world.” She says, I know her fears, me and her was the only ones who survived that damn attack where everybody else was wiped out the current alpha and Luna of the pack (my parents) so we ran, since I was only 6 at the time and all including women and kids where k***ed as well. So by nature and heritage I am in fact an alpha and I am older than the young man in front of me.

Suddenly, my wolf Hunter disturbs me. He is annoyed by all this;

“will you just get to it, your pride will get us all k***ed, knowing it is not costumary for an alpha to bow down, but even I know my superior and HE is, I will be proud to serve and help him.”

He barks out inside my head. That makes it my deadstubborn wolf, who normally doesn’t give other people a damn, openly says he wants me to help the man in front of me. The wolves are the ones, that are the closest to our creator, the moon goddess, so for him to have this overpowering urge to bend the knee makes it for me so I kneel down before him bend my head and tilt it straight to the side, so my entire neck is unprotected (damn dog I think for myself I could turn into a wolf put my tale between my legs and crawl towards him on my belly that won't be as degenerating as this, and Hunter only snickers at my vision before him

"you think I wouldn´t do it, you got another thing coming”)

Let's just get this over with. I think to myself “I Enzo Ensaro, the rightful Alpha of the annihilated Silver Moon pack, recognize you as the true ONE and true Alpha of all werewolves, allow me to be by your side as spear, shield or friend. I promise I will stay fair, and never mislead you on purpose. I will follow you from here on out.” I said the sentence and immediately felt the heaviness my words had settled upon me. And I wait while the sirens are getting closer.

Antonio PoV.

The wolf in front of me has been quiet for quite some time. I can sense his conflicting feelings, but my annoyance lingers and those damn sirens are coming closer. The old woman walks up the stairs probably to the girl. Suddenly, he kneels down before me and displays himself in front of me, his neck displayed. I am shocked. I have no idea why but when he starts talking after, his neck still in plain view, something inside me rumbles with contentment like it like this form of recognition. Suddenly my distrust vanishes, the beast inside me tells me he is trustworthy even if arrogant and stoic.

“look at me,

I hear what you say alpha Enzo, stay true to your words and I promise to show you respect, but cross me and I will wipe you out myself.” I say sealing my future with his, I know the last part isn´t necessary, but I have been fooled way too much before and I am not sure if I can do it again.
