"Not all light comes from the stars—sometimes, it burns you."
Luna thought surviving the monthly cut meant things would get easier—pero kabaligtaran ang nangyari.
She’s now placed under a mysterious “special development program” na pwedeng magtulak sa kanya to debut… or eliminate her for good. All eyes are on her—including Jin’s.
Pero habang ginagalingan niya sa training at sinasabayang ang pressure, a forgotten part of her past suddenly resurfaces.
Her secret fangirl account.
The one about Jin.
The one she thought was gone.
Now, the internet’s watching, rumors are spreading, and even Jin confronts her—leaving Luna torn between fighting for her dream… or running from it.
Will she rise higher into the spotlight?
Or get burned by the truth?

Day 31 – StarWave Trainee Dorms, 5:03 AM
“Luna, gising.”
Napamulagat ako.
Si Mina ‘yon, already dressed in her pink workout hoodie, holding a hot pack sa kamay.
“May list na ng final remarks,” she whispered, eyes wide. “At girl… may kakaiba sa’yo.”
I sat up groggily. “W-What do you mean?”
“You’re on the *special development list.* That’s new. Hindi ‘yon basta-basta.”
Biglang fully gising na ako. “Special development?”
Mina nodded. “It means one-on-one coaching, faster track… and closer evaluation.”
Or, in simpler terms: **you're either being groomed… or being watched.**

Training Studio B – 9:00 AM
“Luna Reyes,” tawag ni Coach Min.
Tumayo ako agad, pinipilit na hindi magpakita ng kaba. As I walked toward the center, napansin kong andun si **Jin** sa gilid ng studio—hindi bilang idol, kundi bilang silent observer.
*Bakit siya laging nandyan lately?*
“You’ll be working with our vocal director today, Director Choi,” Coach announced.
From behind the mirrors, a tall woman walked in. Short black bob, red lipstick, and the coldest eyes I’ve ever seen.
She looked me over. “English or Korean?”
“Either,” sagot ko, voice trembling.
She nodded. “Good. Let’s begin.”
---
Vocal Room – 11:00 AM
“You’re not a natural vocalist,” she said, deadpan. “But you listen. That’s a weapon.”
She made me sing “Rainspell,” a haunting ballad about being invisible to the person you love.
“Again. With emotion.”
So I closed my eyes, thought of the years I spent in front of screens, watching Jin from afar. The nights I cried over fan edits. The tweets. The burning hope.
I sang.
After a long pause, Director Choi finally spoke.
“You felt that. Good. Now do it every time.”

Break Time – Rooftop Again
Yes, I went up again.
Yes, he was already there. Again.
I swear, baka may sariling kwarto si Jin sa bubong.
“You’re improving,” he said without looking.
“Thank you,” sagot ko, trying not to trip over my voice.
He glanced at me. “You didn’t cry this time.”
*Oh God, he remembers that?*
“I guess I grew up a little,” I mumbled.
He smirked. “Fangirls grow up?”
I froze.
For a moment, I swear the air went cold.
He knows.
HE KNOWS?!
“Wh-What do you mean?” I asked too quickly.
But before he could reply—
“Oppa!”
Jaehee appeared, smiling sweetly, holding two bottles of vitamin water.
Here we go.
“Didn’t know you came up here too, Luna,” she said, all sugar and shade.
I forced a smile. “You didn’t ask.”

That Afternoon – Practice Room C
Something felt off.
Everyone was acting too nice. Trainees who used to ignore me now smiled. Two of them even asked for my i********: (which was set to private, obviously).
When I told Mina about it, she looked nervous.
“Luna… I think you need to see something.”
She handed me her phone.
On screen was a tweet.
@KpopTeaZone: Is StarWave trainee Luna Reyes actually a fangirl-turned-idol? Here’s proof of her old account: @LunaReyesJin88 👀
Under it were screenshots of an old fan account.
My old fan account.
Pictures. Edits. Memes. Fanart. The one where I used to call Jin “my starlight.”
The one I deleted before coming to Korea.
Or… so I thought.
“No,” I whispered. “No no no—how did they find this?!”
“It has over 14k likes,” Mina said softly. “It’s spreading fast.”
My stomach flipped.
If the company sees this, they’ll think I’m using Jin.
If Jin sees this…
He’ll think I’m a liar.

That Night – Dorm Bathroom, 2:13 AM
I stared at my reflection.
Disheveled hair. Puffy eyes.
*What if this is the end?*
BANG.
Someone knocked. I jumped.
“Luna?” It was Mina. “May tao sa lobby. For you.”
“For me?”
“Special clearance. Jin’s manager.”
---
Lobby – 2:30 AM
A black mask. Hoodie. Familiar posture.
Jin.
“What… are you doing here?” I asked.
He held up his phone.
On it: the tweet.
My heart dropped.
He looked up at me.
“I won’t ask if it’s true.”
Silence.
“Because I already know the answer.”
I opened my mouth. No words came out.
“But I will ask one thing,” he continued. “Why hide it?”
Tears threatened to fall. “Because I didn’t want people to think I came here for the wrong reasons.”
“And did you?”
I hesitated.
“No,” I said. “I came here because… somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the dream. Not just the person.”
He didn’t say anything.
He just stared.
Then, finally:
“Good.”
He turned to leave.
But before walking out the door, he added:
“Delete that account. For good this time.”

The Next Day – Company Meeting Room
To my shock, hindi ako pinatawag para pagalitan.
Instead, Director Choi announced:
“Luna Reyes, you’ve been reassigned to Team Alpha. Debut candidate team.”
Gasps echoed in the room.
Even Jaehee’s eyes widened for the first time.
“Effective immediately,” she added. “And one more thing…”
She looked directly at me.
“…Keep your past quiet. Let your talent do the talking now.”

End of Chapter 4: Spotlight and Shadows
✨ Luna enters the official debut race—but at what cost?
🔥 Jin knows the truth—but he’s not pushing her away. Yet.
