Samira looked appalled as she saw red. She couldn't stand anyone making fun of her appearance, she felt too insecure. It was like poking an open wound.
“You vile creature, it was your species that caused this….and now, now I'm going to get my look back”
She said as she immediately ran to grab the very confused Lyra.
Dragging her by her hair she started dragging her closer to the pot.
You take one more step Samira, and I'll make sure that it was the last one you take.”
The taunting voice of Ronan was gone like the wind, and his low voice sent shivers down her spine. Who wouldn't be scared of the wolf that refused to die.
“You must have forgotten Alpha Ronan, that when you walked into this cave, you walked into my territory. And I have a few other party tricks up my sleeve”
Immediately she said those words the shadows appeared. The vile ugly creatures looked dead but at the same time very scaly. Their bright red eyes twinkled like they have waited for an opportunity like this for a long time, their lips curled up in a smile as they surrounded him ready to kill.
Looking around he saw the numerous shadows as he felt bored. He wasn't even going to stall, he had much more important things to do.
They came immediately as they rushed towards him with their sharp nails while he stood at one spot, breaking their necks as they rushed towards him. In a matter of seconds he had killed a lot of them as their heads and bloods were rolled and splattered all over the ground. It was a m******e, but also very addicting to watch as a man with stone face easily murdered a bunch of crazy looking creatures without moving a muscle.
It was too much to take in for Lyra, even their conversation sounded weird in her ears and she couldn't even try to make out of guess what they were saying, but she did understand one thing though, that the horrid woman wanted to make use of her face because hers was ruined.
Lyra looked astonished at the wolf that was snapping heads like he was snapping his knuckle, effortlessly, he looked like the male lead in the romance novels she loved to read, the male lead swooping in to save the love of his life without any care in the world. But this time it was different, she wasn't in any novel and he swooped in to save her because he wanted her to destroy him later…..it was a twisted game.
Even with that she still felt he looked enchanting, his silver eyes were sharp, and they seemed to lure anyone who looked at it for more than a couple seconds.
Samira was livid, seeing her well trained shadows crumble like dust in the hands of this man made her even angrier than she thought she would ever be.
Dragging Lyra by the hair, she took her even closer to the pot, suddenly she stopped as she bent down in pain.
“What….stopp”
She screamed as she could barely form words, the pain was agonizing as she felt her insides squeeze.
“No…no…what….what are you doing…to me”
She was sprawled on the ground, screaming and crying for release. Lyra was once again confused, she had a bit of energy now as she stood up, but she didn't feel like she was the one inflicting pain to her. She was sure that this time she wasn't doing anything ... .so who was….
Ronan stood there with his arms covered in blood. The shadows were all dead and their necks were separated from their bodies. Lyra’s eyes met his, and she needed no more proof that it was him that was causing so much pain to the creature who could barely breathe by now…but how.
His eyes turned even colder as Lyra's eyes met his, and she felt a cold sensation over take her. She was in big trouble.
She groaned to herself, she would have avoided everything if she would have just listened to Caelin. She remembered the words Caelin told her before she left the room
‘Alpha Ronan doesn't like it when anyone goes against his words’
That alone sent another shiver down her spine.
“Caelin”
Ronan called as she entered inside, barely shocked with the bloody sight she met
“Take Lyra out”
Giving him a bow, she finally looked at the pale as a ghost Lyra, this must be the first time she had seen the alpha in a fight, and this wasn't even as bloody as it usually should have been.
Walking towards her, she gave her a soft smile as she led her out.
“Ha”
The witch shouted with a faded voice.
“The great Alpha left his mighty throne for a mere girl….seems like she is more special than I even thought”
She said as Ronan started walking towards her.
“The witches would get their revenge….you think I am the only one alive…no, they will come after your throne”
She said as she tried to raise her lips in a smile.
“As long as they don't come after her”
With those words he intensified the pain as the witch immediately started turning into black liquid, with a horrifying smell.
The cave was quiet as someone stepped out of the shadows. She had watched the whole thing unfold as she was too scared to lose her head.
She had dark eyes, though not as dark as Samira, but not as light as the other shadows. She was the girl that instructed them to bring the stranger to the queen.
Stepping closer to the queen, she melted from her waist down as the smell took over the cave.
She bent down to her level and she touched her hands.
Samira felt a pair of cold hands touch her and she immediately clawed on it. Her eyes were dull as she looked like she was in extreme pain.
“Lorelei…..you're alive”
