Chapter 7

“I'll leave now” She said as she turned her back to leave “What do you think she is?” Surprisingly he continued the conversation, stopping her once again in her tracks. “May I speak freely, Alpha?” She asked as she held her heart in anticipation. This was the first time she had been in front of the alpha for this long, she didn't want to make any mistakes, or say a wrong word Ronan turned his back facing her, his silver eyes piercing her skin, giving her a nod of approval she took a deep breath. “She is destruction.” Ronan really didn't need anyone's opinion or take on Lyra, he already knew what she was, he just didn't know how far she could go ... .and that bothered him, he didn't like being uncertain, it cost too much. Zara….he grew up with her. It was normal, they were of royal bloodline, he was destined to be the alpha, he was destined to wear the crown, the responsibilities fell on him. He had very few interactions with Zara, they don't often see, he was too busy in learning the pack since he knew how to talk. They said he was special, so they gave him extra attention, he barely saw himself, talkless of someone who lived at the other side of the castle. But they saw occasionally, at family dinners when their father could convince Luna to join them for dinner. They saw at the Royal Balls as they walked down the stairs together. They saw at the conference meetings ... .sometimes when their father would allow her to know about some of the happenings in the pack. Sometimes they'd go hunting together. He would help her train. But he never recalled running down the stairs with her, arguing, watching the moon…. It wasn't like that at the palace, he was too busy. He remembers Zara running away before he was given the title Alpha…..and coming back right when his pack was planning to take power from another kingdom. No one knew where or why she left. She was royal, she was searched, hunted, for years yet there was no luck….it was like she disappeared into thin air. That was until she appeared in the throne room on a silent night…just like this. But she was different, her smile was different, her eyes were different, her aura changed…..she was not Zara… That's when everything took a turn for the worse….a curse was laid. And he kept on running in circles. He never died. She disappeared again. Until this century. He had nothing else to live for. Death…..his fairytale. But Lyra….she could be the key, his only hope, he has lived for years and he has not met a power quite like hers. He could perceive it from a distance. This was either his long awaited end…or just another mistake. Caelin watched the Alpha in silence, there were still no emotions in his eyes, but she could tell that he was in deep thoughts. “Destruction…” “But master…. destruction isn't always bad, she could be the missing piece we need….” She said as she looked at his face once more, it was still emotionless and empty, so she kept on talking. “She's unprepared, and reckless, but I feel she would be very crucial in this universe. She might be just the right destruction we need” Her voice got higher in excitement…finally her master's last universe, the torture of living might finally end. “And if she isn't?” He asked as he looked back at the moon. The light in my eyes dimmed. “If she isn't…that means you are closer to your goal than you think”. Lyra looked out her window for the fifteenth time. She tossed and turned, but she couldn't get the particular feeling that something was wrong out of her head. The night was silent….it was too silent. Moving out from her window she paced around her room for a while before deciding to lay back down. Just then her eyes shone in annoyance. She left her room as she sneaked through the hallway. It was a big, complicated castle. She used it to her disadvantage. Sneaking out was harder than she thought, especially with the guards around. She almost got caught a couple of times but she made it out. The night breeze was cold as it chilled her to her spine. The palace grounds were big and heavily guarded. She needed to breathe, she had been stuck in here forever. She needed to feel free…even if it was only for a night Caelin walked towards Lyra’s bedroom door. She sometimes pitied her, she got rejected by her mate and immediately she started fighting for her life, giving her no time to breathe, especially as the Alpha was her personal trainer. It was too rushed, but they couldn't risk it, she was more than what she thought, and no one knows what exactly she could do. It was better to take no risks. Suddenly her nose picked up on a scent, it felt fresh, like someone familiar was just there a moment ago. Her eyes widened as she rushed to the door of Lyra's room as she pushed it open Empty Her room was empty. Alpha Ronan was going to kill her, this was not good, not good at all. Running back to the Alpha's chambers, she looked as pale as a ghost. “Stop” A guard stopped her but she didn't have time for that, she was on her heels to inform the Alpha before any more time gets wasted. She heard footsteps behind her as she knew she was being chased by guards. She didn't know how long she ran, but every second wasted was like a bomb. They were catching up to her, she expected it, they're trained guards. They almost held her and at the same time she crashed into a sturdy figure as a pair of silver eyes pierced into hers. “We tried to stop her Alpha Ronan” They said as they halted. Looking at Caelin’s eyes, and seeing how pale she was, he didn't need to ask any questions…..then she nodded as if in confirmation to his thoughts. Immediately he turned back as he dashed through the staircase in the speed of light, with Caelin following behind him.
