Lisa’s POV The morning felt different before anything even happened, I couldn’t explain it at first. It was nothing obvious, nothing I could point at and say this is why but something in the house felt… lighter. Maybe it was the fact that Ethan was no longer moving like someone recovering from a near-death experience, the slow careful steps were gone, the constant quiet exhaustion had faded.
