"I-I," I stuttered, holding my temple, trying to recall the question. Adrenaline was making my mind foggy and it was difficult to focus. Squinting at Justin, I waited for him to repeat it in a cruel tone or to deduct points but all he did was frown. "Pay better attention in class, Katerina." My heart slammed against my chest as I tried to comprehend what just happened. Surely that wasn't all he was going to say, right? I awaited his zing to humiliate me in front of everyone.
