Buying the hotel

Chapter 2
Naomi was working part-time at the hotel cleaning, dressed in her uniform, looking neat, simple and coordinated as always. The female manager walked up to her alongside some of her colleagues she was certain didn’t like her, called out to her saying, “You! You are from the countryside, right?” Naomi replied courteously. “Yes.”
Then she said, “I knew it, I could smell you from a mile away, bringing bad luck just before the New Year." Folding her arms and looking proud, she ordered, “Get out of here now.”
Naomi asked, “What did I do wrong?” the manager let out a laugh.
Her colleague simply spoke: “A money-obsessed country girl like you might steal anything.”
Naomi defended herself by saying,” I live off money I earn myself. Who do you think you are to talk to me like that? Don’t look down on me just because I’m from the countryside.”
The manager replied, “How dare this girl talk back to me?”
Just then, a voice was heard from outside, “Oh, it’s Dominic Reed. New York's biggest tycoon, the Black Boss!”
The manager was suddenly frightened. “That terrifying Black Boss is coming here?”
A fleet of limousine cars drove into the building looking expensive, Dominic Reed stepped out, looking rich and handsome, and everything about him screamed wealth and power. His entourage bowing their heads to him and screaming “Boss!”
He walked into the building, the manager grabbed Naomi by the shoulders, pushed her “Get out.” Unexpectedly as she was about to fall, she fell into the arms of Dominic Reed. She couldn’t help but look deep into his eyes. They stayed like that for a few seconds, her heart racing faster with every beat. She thought, “What’s it about this man that made her heart always skip a beat?”
Suddenly he asked, “Were you that desperate to throw yourself at me?” All his men came running forward, bowing their heads to her. They saluted, “Madam.”
The manager looked surprised: “Madam? Why call this country bumpkin madam?”
Somehow she was still in Dominic’s arms, as he spoke up, “When people were bullying you, why didn’t you speak up?”
She replied, “What’s that supposed to mean?
Looking more seriously, he answered, “Why didn’t you say that my husband is Dominic Reed? New York's biggest tycoon and the Black Boss?”
The manager became afraid on hearing that, though she tried her best not to show it by keeping a straight face.
Dominic held Naomi gently in his arms as he turned her to face the rest of them. “Now does everyone understand? That I’m this woman's husband.”
He shouted, “Jason.”
Immediately, his personal assistant came running forward to the manager and bent her over to her knees, and the rest of her colleagues also
“Please spare me, I’m sorry, please spare me! “The manager pleaded.
Just then, the owner of the hotel came rushing forward bowing his head to Dominic Reed,
“Dominic Reed, what brings you here, sir?”
Dominic looked at Naomi, said to her, “Let’s go,” before she released herself from his grasp as she shouted at him, “What are you doing at my workplace?
Dominic straightened up his jacket before answering: “Right, your workplace, and this hotel. Why don’t I just buy it?
At the snap of his fingers, his men opened up suitcases, filled with billions. The owner of the hotel looked shocked with his eyes wide open, ”Is this not enough?” He snapped his fingers again and gold was everywhere as well.
The president of the hotel spoke up, “It is enough, and it is more than enough. “He hurriedly brought out the documents of the hotel and his businesses and signed them off, “Everything, it’s all here, “and handed them over to Dominic. Dominic, handed it over to Naomi, “Take it, it’s all yours, you are now the owner of this hotel.”
She said, “I don’t want it.”
At the snap of his fingers, his men carried his wife unto a seat to sit down forcibly.
He then went to her:” I don’t like my woman working for others. If you want to make money, make money at the hotel I bought you.
Suddenly, all the staff of the hotel were at her service, bowing to her at her service.
