Leandro sat comfortably in the dimly lit private booth of the upscale Italian restaurant, eagerly awaiting Venere's arrival. The ambiance was sophisticated, with soft candlelight casting a warm glow upon the dark wood furnishings. Venere entered the arena he was in, as Leandro's eyes met Venere's, a faint smirk tugged onto his lips. His gaze fixed upon her as she settled into the private booth, her presence captivating him as always. His voice carried a hint of admiration, albeit curtly. "Well, you look spectacular, like always," he remarked, feeling the need to at least compliment her. His words were concise, yet they conveyed his appreciation for her presence. Venere's eyebrows arched, her eyes narrowing with a skeptical look. She tilted her head, meeting his gaze with a mixture of curiosity and appreciation. "A compliment from Leandro," she responded, a touch of playful skepticism coloring her words. "Thank you. Coming from you, I'll take that as high praise." A faint smile tugged at the corners of her lips, conveying her subtle interest and intrigue. As their meal was served, the aroma of freshly prepared Italian delicacies filled the air, heightening their anticipation. The waiter approached the table, presenting a bottle of exquisite wine, and with a deft hand, poured it into their glasses. The deep crimson liquid swirled, reflecting the candlelight in a mesmerizing dance. Leandro leaned in slightly, his voice filled with genuine concern. "So, how have you been doing since your return?" Venere took a moment to savor the bouquet of her wine, her eyes meeting Leandro's with a mixture of gratitude and introspection. "I've been adjusting," she replied, her voice carrying a touch of pride. "It hasn't been easy readjusting to everyday life after being away for so long. But I'm finding my footing, slowly but surely.” She paused and stared at him. “And I got you here, it's a welcome reprieve from all the chaos." She took a sip of her wine. Her eyes met his, and a knowing smile played at the corners of her lips. "Though, you seem quite busy since I returned," she remarked, her tone laced with playful teasing. "The work you're involved in seems to be taking much of your time." Leandro chuckled softly, a glimmer of amusement dancing in his eyes. The flickering candlelight cast shadows on his face as he reached for the steak knife, cutting into it with precision. "It has always been that way, hasn't it?" he replied, his tone a low rumble that tinged with a touch of resignation and responsibility. "To remain ahead, one must be in constant motion." As he speared a piece of the perfectly cooked steak, he raised it to his lips. "It's good to always be on the move." He savored the taste of the steak, appreciating its tenderness and flavor before continuing. Venere twitched her lip lightly. "So it is," she conceded, her expression shifting to a more serious demeanor. "Good," she replied, her voice filled with conviction. "It's better to stay vigilant and ensure your position remains strong. That I get." Setting down his knife and fork, Leandro picked up his wine glass, the deep crimson liquid swirling within. He raised it to his lips, taking a slow sip. "So, how is your family's business with the Moretti family?" he asked, his tone casual but laced with a hidden goal. Leandro sought information, but he knew Venere wouldn't give in so easily, she wasn't that clumsy, yet he was desperate, to say the least. That was his main motive from the start. Venere leaned back in her seat, her expression revealing a hint of skepticism. She took a moment to savor her food before responding, her voice measured and cryptic. "Our business with the Morettis is progressing, as always," she replied, deliberately withholding the specifics he sought. She took another bite, the taste lingering on her tongue. Leandro's eyes narrowed, his curiosity piqued. He knew Venere was holding something back, but he also knew better than to push too hard during a seemingly ordinary dinner. He took a slow sip of his wine, his voice laced with calculated casualness. "And are the Morettis engaged in any new operation?" he inquired, his words carefully chosen to navigate the conversation with subtlety. Venere couldn't help but relent slightly, her guarded facade cracking just a little. She leaned forward to pick the wine, her eyes meeting Leandro's with a mix of notice and intrigue as if she had just come up with an idea. "There is something... a new operation involving Gerardo," she revealed, her voice just the way it has been, though a bit low. "But I'm not entirely sure of the details yet." Leandro's eyebrows raised imperceptibly, his interest growing. He maintained his composure, leaning back in his seat, feigning nonchalance. "Interesting," he murmured. "I suppose time will reveal the truth." It was not that Venere wasn't keenly aware of the operation, but the matter was that it wasn't something to be divulged in the present moment. Leandro, with his astute understanding, did recognize the necessity of discretion. Leandro and Venere stood side by side, their conversation drawing to a close. The air was crisp, and the soft glow of streetlights illuminated the sleek lines of Venere's car. With a gentle gesture, Leandro opened the car door for her, a small act of chivalry that spoke volumes of their mutual respect. "Thank you for the evening," Leandro said, his voice sincere as he glanced at Venere. "I appreciate your time and our conversation." Venere smiled, her eyes shimmering with warmth and appreciation. She gracefully slid into the car, settling into the plush leather seats and then he gently closed the door. Leandro watched as her escort drove her away, his gaze lingering until her car disappeared into the distance. And so he walked back toward his own car, Alonzo falling into step beside him. Leandro settled into the backseat. "Back to the residence" he instructed. Leandro stepped out of the steaming shower, the warm water having washed away the remnants of the long day. He wrapped himself in a plush robe, the fabric clinging lightly to his damp skin. Moving out of the wardrobe, he made his way to the corner of the massive room and reached for a vintage bottle. With a steady hand, he poured himself a drink, the amber liquid cascading into a crystal glass and then, he took a sip. Leandro's gaze shifted to the tablet resting on the sleek surface of a desk. Slowly he walked toward the desk and picked up the tablet. He was curious yet, it mingled with a hint of guilt for the hidden software he had installed, unknown to Ginevra. He hesitated for a moment, his finger hovering over the screen, contemplating whether he was truly ready to uncover her secret. He had left it unchecked since the call from Alonzo and now, there was a part of him that yearned to know, but there was also the recognition that once the truth he feared was revealed, there would be no turning back. Leandro's thoughts lingered, caught between the desire for knowledge and the fear of what it might unravel. With a resolute sigh, he set the tablet aside, his decision made for the time being. His gaze was momentarily drawn to the small table where he kept his cigarettes and lighter. He reached out, his fingers closing around the familiar pack. As he turned back towards the tablet, he paused, the cigarette forgotten in his hand. His eyes fixated on the device, a mix of curiosity and apprehension swirling within him, the allure of the unknown tugged at his every fiber. After a moment's hesitation, Leandro made his decision. With a silent exhale, he placed the cigarette back on the table and approached the tablet. His finger pressed firmly against the screen, activating the device, he shifted and settled on the armchair by the window. Gradually he watched. Everything seemed normal, and for what felt like an eternity, the whole record was only displaying what he had seen before–her usual routine. Leandro reached for the silver cigarette case on the side table, flipping it open to reveal a single cigarette nestled within. He took a long drag, the smoke filling his lungs before he exhaled a stream of wispy gray into the air. He watched the wisps of smoke swirl and disappear, and then, his gaze shifted back to the tablet that lay before him, fixated on each second of the recorded footage playing before his eyes, though tend to skip some. As he continued to watch the tablet's playback, Leandro's attention sharpened on the scene that came alive, depicting the exact moment when Ginevra walked into her room after he had dropped her off, the day of the visit to the warehouse. His eyes followed Ginevra's every movement. He watched intently, perhaps to learn if she made any call—something. Ginevra rose to settle by the edge of the bed, her delicate hands reached and pulled off his coat, one he seemed not to even remember until now. There was a flicker of curiosity in Leandro's eyes, a glimpse of vulnerability masked by his calm exterior. He continued to smoke his cigarette, the tendrils of smoke mingling with the room's stillness. Every frame played like a reel of memories–and shortly he watched her pull off her top, exposing just her bra. He observed intently as she lowered her hand, her fingers hesitating above the buttons of her trousers. In a swift motion, her long leg slipped free from the pants' grip. Though he may have contemplated averting his gaze, he remained transfixed. Gradually, he witnessed her unfasten her bra, causing it to glide effortlessly off her shoulders. The delicate fabric descended, unveiling her enticing, pink n*****s. Leandro groaned at the sight, placing down his cigarette into the ashtray. As she tenderly cupped her breasts, another internal groan escaped him silently. With every passing moment, he absorbed the unfolding spectacle. When her fingers ventured beneath her panties, he watched with rapt attention as she convulsed in pleasure, and instantly he felt a surge of arousal within him.
