Gerardo stood in front of his wardrobe mirror, meticulously adjusting his silk tie. The spacious wardrobe was adorned with gold fixtures and marble tiles, reflecting the luxury that surrounded him in every aspect of his life. As he perfected his appearance, a low knock echoed through the heavy wooden door, interrupting his concentration. Gerardo didn't bother to divert his gaze from the mirror. And just then, the door swung open, and Franco stepped into the room. His expression– all the same. He closed the door behind him and walked towards Gerardo, who finally tore his eyes away from the mirror to peek at him. “What is it, Franco?" Gerardo asked, his voice laced with a touch of impatience. "I hope it's important." Franco cleared his throat, his tone calm and measured. “Boss," Franco began, "The house at Via Mortola just called. There's a lady outside who insists on seeing you. She claimed she won't leave until she gets to speak with you. And... from the description they provided, it seems she's the same lady you met the other night." Gerardo's attention immediately snapped to the conversation at the mention of the other night. A flicker of recognition danced in his eyes as he tried to recall the encounter. He pressed his lips together, before breaking into a sly smile, and then he turned to face Franco fully. "The other night, you say?" Gerardo mused, a hint of curiosity and intrigue in his voice. In a different scenario, Gerardo would have been vexed, but he seemed more intrigued than angered by this unexpected visitor. Shortly, Gerardo, a glint of curiosity still in his eyes, strode purposefully out of the building into the cool night air. Franco, ever attentive, stood beside the sleek black car, ready to fulfill Gerardo's every command. With a smooth motion, he pulled open the car door, revealing the plush interior bathed in a soft glow and Gerardo slid into the backseat. Franco swiftly closed the door and took his place behind the wheel. The car smoothly pulled away from the building, merging into the flow of the dimly lit streets– and shortly it came to a half in front of the residence. “Where is she?” Gerardo requested, his voice tinged with a hint of impatience and anticipation, as he stepped out of the car. His eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for any sign of the lady who had demanded his presence. The very escort who had made the call, a slightly nervous individual, stepped forward with hesitant conduct. “I-I'm sorry, Boss. She left just a few minutes ago. She said she needed to continue her exercise and promised to stop by when she was returning." Gerardo's piercing gaze bore into the man, his eyes narrowing slightly. The atmosphere crackled with tension as his intense stare seemed to convey a myriad of unspoken messages. In that moment, it appeared as though Gerardo's grip on control tightened, ready to unleash his wrath. However, to everyone's surprise, a soft chuckle escaped Gerardo's lips, breaking the silence that hung in the air. The sound was low and smoky, tinged with a hint of amusement. It echoed with a touch of admiration for the lady's audacity and the unexpected turn of events. “Exercise, you say?" Gerardo repeated, his voice now laced with a playful tone. "Well, it seems our visitor has quite the spirit.” No one dared to say a word. He turned back to the escort, his chuckle transforming into a sly smile, “So, you let her go?" Gerardo asked, his voice laced with a mixture of intrigue and amusement. "She left just like that?" The man nodded, unsure of how to respond to the sudden shift in Gerardo’s act. Gerardo's soft chuckle grew, a low rumble in the night, as he seemed to find a hidden amusement in the situation. "Continue with your duties," Gerardo instructed, his voice returning to its usual authoritative tone. Just as Gerardo was about to give further instructions, his phone began to ring, breaking the momentary silence. His eyes flickered towards the source of the sound, and he swiftly retrieved the device from his pocket, a faint smirk playing on his lips. With a quick swipe of his thumb, he answered the call. "Gerardo speaking," he greeted, his tone professional yet tinged with a touch of curiosity and command. On the other end of the line, a voice spoke urgently, relaying important information that made Gerardo's eyebrows furrow and his expression grow more serious. He listened intently, occasionally nodding or murmuring acknowledgments. After a few minutes, Gerardo ended the call, his face now wearing a contemplative expression. He turned his attention back to Franco, who seemed to be waiting patiently. "Change of plans," Gerardo declared, his voice now infused with a sense of pressure. "We need to head back to the estate immediately. It seems there's a situation that requires my attention." Franco nodded, already moving towards the car to open the door for Gerardo. Gerardo prepared to step into the car, but then, his eyes caught a glimpse of movement in the distance. He paused, his gaze fixed on the figure jogging towards him. Recognition flashed across his face as he realized it was Ginevra. Though he wasn't acquainted with her name yet. A slow smile curved Gerardo's lips as he watched her approach, her face glimmering under the street light. “Well, well," Gerardo greeted, his voice laced with a mix of amusement and intrigue. "I must say, you certainly know how to make an impression. Jogging back just to have a word with me?" Ginevra halted before him, her hands immediately leaning against her waist. "Well, I couldn't let this opportunity slip away, Gerardo.” she replied, her voice flirting despite her exertion. Gerardo's eyes gleamed with interest as he regarded her. He gestured for Franco to give them a moment of privacy, and he discreetly moved away. Gerardo leaned against the car, a mix of curiosity and amusement evident on his face as he gazed at Ginevra. "So, what made you suddenly demand to see me again?" he asked, his voice filled with intrigue. Ginevra's eyes sparkled with mischief as she tilted her head and met Gerardo's gaze. "Well, Gerardo," she began, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips, "I realized that I forgot to get your contact information the other night. And it occurred to me that perhaps a dinner together wouldn't be such a bad idea." A hint of a smirk played on Gerardo's lips as he took in her words. "Oh, is that so? What changed your mind?" he inquired, his voice laced with curiosity. Ginevra's smile widened, and she gestured towards him. "Let's just say your conduct and the intrigue surrounding you have captured my attention," she replied, a touch of flirtation in her voice. Gerardo chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with amusement. He reached into his suit pocket and retrieved a sleek business card holder. With a smooth and deliberate motion, he extended his arm, presenting a card to her. "Here you go," Gerardo said, his voice tinged with pursuit. "Consider it an invitation to a dinner that promises both good food and whatever you wish." Ginevra's eyes lit up with excitement as she reached out to accept the card. She succeeded at last. Now it was left for her to reach into his secrets. And more the connection between him and Leandro. She took the card with a graceful motion, her smile widening. “Thank you, Gerardo," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of anticipation. "I look forward to our dinner together." “You still haven't shared your name," Gerardo said, his voice holding a note of anticipation as he looked at Ginevra. Ginevra's composure faltered for a moment, but she swiftly regained her poise, a mysterious smile playing on her lips. "You'll discover my name during our dinner," she replied, her voice laced with a teasing tone. "Some secrets are best unraveled over a shared meal." Just as the words left her mouth, a familiar car pulled up, and to Ginevra's greatest regret, Leandro stepped out. The last person she would ever wish to see her with Gerardo. His expression remained stoic, yet a flicker of anger simmered just beneath the surface, evident in his tightened jaw. Ginevra, taken aback by Leandro's unexpected arrival, fought to maintain her composure. She cast a quick glance at Alonzo, silently hoping for guidance or an explanation. Whereas, Gerardo’s focus shifted from her to Leandro, his expression instantly snapping back to its neutral form. His tone was laced with surprise and curiosity as he addressed Leandro, "Well, well, what brings you here?" But before Gerardo could delve deeper into the situation, Leandro disregarded him and turned his attention directly to Ginevra. His voice held a commanding tone as he ordered her, "Get inside the car." Caught between Gerardo's gaze and Leandro's authority, Ginevra hesitated, her mind racing. The atmosphere grew thick with tension as the power dynamics between the three of them hung in the air. “Don't make me repeat myself” Leandro’s low voice rumbled.
