He produced a roll of cherry Life Savers. “Want one?” Becca shook her head. “I am all sugared out, and still have a few bites of brownie to finish.” Noah opened the pack and used his thumb to flip one of the suckers into his mouth. They both gazed into the fire, with its flames that danced unpredictably as logs burned and fell.
