Philip Cho emerged from his condo building on the Upper West Side at precisely nine A.M. on Saturday morning, and Jimmy McSwain was there to witness his departure. He’d been nursing a cup of Starbucks coffee from across the street since seven, perched at a high stool at their front window, eyes zeroed in on the doors to Philip’s high-rise. Jimmy was on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and 92nd Street. Cho was headed this way. But Jimmy already knew that. The coffee was part of his stakeout, as was the morning’s New York Post.
