There was a pause. He knew to expect more, so he waited. “I dumped Philip.”
“Which one?”
“The only one left. Connelly’s dead, Cho left me. It was time for Cullman to go, too.”

He heard stifled laughter from the other end of the line. “I considered Jimmy, but, alas, no. Such options are limited. I think it’s time for me to stand tall. Be myself.”
