Chapter 9The faith of tomorrow fulfilled its promise when Jimmy managed to open his eyes. Bright sunshine beamed through open curtains, the rain of yesterday having been washed out overnight by a warm front. Still, the glare was a cruel beginning for a man who awoke with a throbbing headache. There was always a silver lining waiting to be stripped of its cloud.
