Sad People Should Not Listen to Slow Songs II “Who…” “Oh, you’re still tutoring?” From my peripheral view, he was already standing next to where the three of us sat, where our tables were at. At this moment, I was just too pissed that he called me that in front of these high schoolers who liked me so much. When I didn’t respond, inentionally, he poked my shoulder. “Hey, are you ignoring me?” “**, do you know this **?” “No.” I don’t know what was happening but I was sure I didn’t want to accept this man’s existence right now. I forced a smile to the three. “He’s no one. Ignore him.” “I’m Aiden. I’m this girl’s husband. Nice to meet you all.” My mouth gapped in shock. Where did this guy get all his confidence? Husband? Husband?! I almost wanted to hurl at the idea of him calling me his wife, and I, calling him husband. It was ridiculous. Kexin looked taken aback. “**…” He mumbled, and as I turned to look, he was pouting. “H-Husband? You have a husband? Already?” He looked like he was about to cry. I was unsure if he was going to or if he was just being overly dramatic about this. At that, I stood groping Aiden’s shoulder tight. “This dingo,” I pointed at his face with my free hand. “Isn’t my husband. I’m way too pretty to be committed to someone at a young age!” I burst out. I was even sure they weren’t going to understand me but I said it still. “He’s my slave. My personal slave.” I corrected, smirking at Aiden. The look on the three’s faces were priceless. They were so confused of what was happening that I couldn’t help but chuckle at their reaction. No matter how many explanations I make, they wouldn’t get it. They were too young to understand it all. “Forget it. Yeah, sure.” I looked away, sighing. It’s better to just take it instead of wasting my energy explaining every single concept of it to them. “He’s my husband.” “You look great with teacher, sir!” Chae cheered, clapping her hands together, showing her support. Kexin hissed quietly. “I look better with **! I’ll steal her from you soon, **! Remember that!” He threatened, pointing a finger at Aiden fearlessly. Aiden looked shocked. I assume he was just as amused as I was of Kexin. I mean that makes sense, I’ve never told him about these three. It’s about time he meets them, I guess. “Did you just…” “Oh my god, bless your nasty brain.” I glared at him in disgust. “He’s really open to his admiration for me.” Aiden chuckled, leaning closer to whisper to me, making sure the three wouldn’t hear anything about what he has to say. “You even flirt with high schoolers now?” “I’m naturally a man-killer.” I answered, whispering back with a grin on my face. “You of all people should know that by now.” I replied proudly raising my chin so he knows that he was one of the people who got charmed by me. I really am though, not even I would argue. Aiden bent down, patting Kexin’s head. “It’s not too late to change your mind, kid.” “Don’t touch me!” Kexin shove his hand away, cracking me up. If Aiden was ballsy, Kexin was way more ballsy. I meant what I said when Kexin felt like a younger Aiden. And now that they were together, it all just makes sense. He is him, and him is he. When the three got fetched by their dazzling limousines, Aiden and I headed out of the café as well. Aiden couldn’t get over the three especially Kexin. He couldn’t believe that I didn’t really try to flirt with them and it was all just Kexin’s innocent adoration for me. “Oh right. I’m supposed to meet my brother in the local pub. Do you want to come with me?” “It’s not like I have a choice.” We drove to this pub Aiden was talking about and I was surprised at what I saw the moment we got inside. There were so many people inside, jamming and jumping to the song that this band was playing on stage – not that many, but pretty plenty for a local band. And I gotta say, they were pretty good. I’ve heard bands play before but I never really got into them. Not that fan of bands, in general. “Stay here. I’ll go look for him.” Aiden said, walking away from me. I sighed. Maybe I should fish for some guys while I’m staying put. I could see gorgeous men lingering around, I could even feel them in my guts that there’s someone here. I looked around, unconsciously jamming to the song like everyone else, tapping my foot to the beat of the bass, blasting through the speakers. It was a bop so it can’t be helped. I couldn’t really understand it. I think it’s Chinese or something – still a good song regardless. Maybe I should have this in my playlist after. It could be a great song to listen to while doing pre-training reps. If only I know the song… While having my eyes set to look for guys I can talk to, this guy passing by suddenly drops his very eye-catching white handkerchief. He didn’t seem to realize he dropped it as he kept walking when I followed my gaze at him. I ran to where he dropped the hanky, bent to grab it and caught up to his pace. I patted his back gently so he can turn to me and when he turned, I almost stepped back upon seeing such angelic idol of a face. Now that’s a great catch. Imagine if I decided to ignore it and he just kept walking away, and he slipped right out of my hand when I barely had my grip on him. That’s just sad. He looked at me confused. “Do I—” I raised the hanky he dropped and his eyes told me that he immediately recognized it. “You dropped this!” I leaned close to him so he can hear and to make him look at my beautiful neck. I’m so happy I wore a good top that revealed my collar bones. I always believed they’re one of my greatest assets. “Thank you! This is really important to me!” Oh okay… “I’m glad I saw you drop it then.” I flashed a smile. He chuckled, smiling back at me. His face was small and I don’t mean that in an ugly way. If anything, it was quite attractive with his prominent jawline. Quite sharp he has there. It’s going to cut me if I don’t get his name, that’s for sure. “Are you here to see Mayday?!” Who the heck is Mayday? “Nah!” I yelled back, trying to make sure he could hear my response. “I actually came with my friend for a different purpose!” He nodded, still smiling. A really good smile he has there, too. Now, tell me your name, beautiful man. “But I like what I hear though!” I commented, still leaning close to his ear so he hears me. “You know an artist is good when you bop to their music unconsciously without even knowing them!” I said hoping that would save me. He looked like he was a fan. He knows the band’s name so I assume he is. “Are you a fan?!” “I love them!” I chuckled, bobbing my head to the song. I called that. He wouldn’t be here and ask about it if he wasn’t a fan of the band. “You got great taste in music!” I had no idea his face was magnet. I couldn’t stop looking at his face. It was too captivating to look away from. I feel like I’d miss out on a masterpiece if I glanced away even just for a bit. His phone suddenly rang. He looked up to me then to his phone then back to me. “I gotta go! It was nice meeting you though! Maybe I’ll see you in another concert of Mayday soon?!” Crap, already? I didn’t even get his freaking name. Jesus. “Wait, your—” “I’ll see you around! Bye!” And he was gone. I guess it can’t be helped. I can’t always meet guys and do my thing. He looked like he was in a hurry and the call was urgent. I sighed sitting back down the counter in dismay. If I was a little faster, I would have gotten his name but if I was faster, he would have freaked out. He’s a gone-too-soon guy. Pity. “Let’s go,” “Took you long enough.” I frowned at Aiden when he walked back to me. “It wasn’t even that long.” He defended but I was too pissed that I didn’t get that guy’s name and I was taking it on him. I feel bad for it but I was pissed, alright. “I’ll buy you dinner so stop sulking like a child, okay?” “Now, you’re talking! Let’s go!” If I’m desperate, I would come back here every day in hopes to cross my paths with him again but I’m not that desperate. There are other guys out there, for sure. Besides, I wouldn’t waste my time for one guy.
