“Have you decided which discipline of medicine you intend to pursue?” he asked.
“Yes sir!” I responded. “I would like to go to dental school,” I said. I got from his demeanor that he was impressed with my selection. Ilka’s parents were very nice people. I was glad that I accepted Ilka’s invitation.
The next day the weather cooperated. It was a typical spring day. We took a bus to the museum area. Walking up the steps of the Museum, they were filming scenes from the “Rocky” film that became very popular. The museum was one of the best that I can ever remember. It even displayed a military uniform that George Washington once wore. Based on the size of the uniform, he must have been a very slender man. We stopped and had lunch.
