"How long have you been here?" Dom asked as he entered the lab at eleven, noticing I was already busy at work. "You missed class."
"They open the lab at six," I replied, not taking my eyes off the microscope. "I wanted to get a head start. I finished the work Doctor Rogers assigned us for the week, so now we can focus on our own projects."
"You completed a whole week’s worth of lab work in just five hours?" Dom asked, sounding impressed.
"I was on a roll," I said, changing the slide in the microscope. "Don’t assume I’ll always do your share, though," I joked.
