Chapter 32

1423 Words

Josie's POV Christian and I are currently at the restaurant. He led me to a two seat table at the far corner in the main hall. There aren't many people seated at this time of day. I am a bit confused, though. Why would he choose to be seated here? And it is just for two people. I thought we were meeting a client. "About that..." I heard him saying. I turned around curiously to verify who he was talking to but noticed his eyes were on me. I nervously bit my lower lip, darting my eyes everywhere but him. I have a strong feeling that I vocalize my thoughts. It is official; my stupidity heightens wherever this man is concerned. He gave a low chuckled before he completed his sentence, "We are going for a slight change of plans today." My eyes snapped up in a quick motion.
