"Thank you for staying with me all these years. I know we haven't been best of friends but you served me well. We fought a lot, most times I am left with a chipped toe but at least you never left me." I patted Rico.
"Uh!" I stretched my limbs as I submitted the last of my school assignments and closed the laptop on my little desk in my room. Rico had been my study station since middle school after the previous desk, Tim, took it's last breath and collapsed.
