My heart thumped loudly on my chest. I fiddled my fingers waiting for yet another round of insult. I thought we're cool now, it seems like we are not yet.
"Jayden I-"
He smiled, "Don't feel tensed Davina. It's a joke. I'm no longer thinking about that."
My body tensed down, I felt relieved. He was joking. If he's joking with me already then it means he's no longer mad at me.
I laughed nervously, "Oh wow. You got me Jayden."
I ordered his drink and mine, we sipped in silence. I decided to talk to lighten the mood.
"What do you think about this place?" I asked him.
He looked around, then back at me. "It's serene and peaceful. It's a great place for vacation, business and romance."
"Romance?"
"Yeah, romance. Now your turn, what do you think of this place?"
