Chapter 56 - 2013
Michael had not come back yet when Lucy parked the jeep in the driveway. She checked the time. It was only ten. He could be anywhere. She was itching to call him but decided it was better to talk face to face. She would wait for him at home; or perhaps at his place? Ten was usually pappou’s bedtime. Would she be waking him up? Lola’s barking resolved this dilemma.
Lucy noticed pappou peering through the window and waved to him. He opened the door, and Lola came out to greet her. Lucy rewarded her with a huge cuddle.
“Kalispera, pappou! You’re still up?” Perfect!
“Kalispera, Lucy! Look at you; don’t you look wonderful tonight!”
“Thank you!” She flashed a smile at him.
“I’m having cocoa. Want some?”
