(One Month Later) *Katrina POV* My little girl is coming home today. Dr. Grant and her pediatrician, Dr. Morris said that she is definitely a special girl. They had expected it to be at least another two weeks before she was discharged, but she proved them wrong. I was nervous about bringing her back to the ranch, because Derrick would be released in two weeks. The day he was arrested was the morning after the last beating. The nurses on Cheyenne's floor had no other option than to report what had happened to me to the police. I can't say I was angry, because I wasn't. I was more relieved than anything. Surprisingly, when he called me, he wasn't angry either. He said that maybe this was his wake-up call. Maybe it will be, but I'm still unsure if I want to hang around to find out. T
