*Derrick POV*
When I woke up and Kat was gone, I got nervous. That was until I heard her talking to our daughter. I wanted to use the bathroom and be back out before she returned, but that didn't happen. She was feeding Cheyenne, so I laid down next to them.
We didn't talk much about last night, but she did reassure me that she didn't feel like she had to do what we did, and that she wanted to. She then reassured me that she was still standing by me in whatever happened with Heidi.
She wasn't happy about my suggestion of how to do this easy, and I promised her we would approach this however she wanted. The only thing that caught me off guard was that she made a point to tell me that not everything had to be handled like how dad and me handled business.
