*Katrina POV*
I was thankful Cheyenne was still sleeping as I stepped into the exam room with Amber. The woman who had taken the place of my mother was lying on the exam table sobbing.
I looked between her and the doctor, trying to get a feel of what was going on, and Dr. Grant asked me to have a seat next to Amber.
"Katrina, with permission from Amber, I would like to explain what is happening. We have decided to do a 3-D ultrasound to try and get a better look at the little ones. I only detect one heartbeat, and it's very weak. It doesn't mean that something is wrong, but I would just like a better look to make sure. It could all be the positioning of them, but it's better to be safer than sorry, right?" the older gentleman smiled.
