I have been at the new facility for almost a week now, and have another two weeks before I can start receiving visitors. So far it's been pretty good, and I have gotten to know some guys my age.
Most are from privileged families, and are in for minor offenses. I found out that there are a few guys here that know Katrina's boyfriend and father. They have nothing but good things to say about them, so my mind is more at ease about her being with that kind of person.
My cellmate, Jimmy, is my age. He is incarcerated for petty theft, and his parents insisted that he serve time to help him learn a lesson. Somehow, I don't think he will. He makes a game out of seeing what he can steal from the guard's desk on a daily basis.
