The pictures and video sent to Katrina's phone set me off. I had to get away from everyone to cool off before I said something to hurt her feelings.
Watching my childhood home burn to the ground sent me into a tailspin. I was angry. Angry at the situation, at the goon squad and slightly angry at her. She doesn't deserve my anger, because she can't control it, no more than any of us can. I just needed to get air to be able to channel my anger elsewhere.
I probably shouldn't have just taken off, because I know she is going to blame herself for all of this. It's not. She didn't ask for her life to be turned upside down over and over again, and I had to remember that this was happening to her as well.
