I was beyond nervous while talking to Officer Holbrook. I was afraid I was going to slip up and mess things up for Derrick, but thankfully, I didn't.
I was just happy that it was quick. However, I didn't understand the reasoning behind some of the questions when it was obvious that I wasn't present during the struggle. I only had knowledge of what I saw after he revealed he wasn't dead. The same situation with his dad. We only know what happened afterward.
He asked me in probably four different ways when I noticed the cut on Derrick's side. Each time, I answered the same way. Not until I had come to after passing out, and that it was dark when I saw him before that happened.
