Once my consciousness surfaced out of the dark, it felt like I was freed from a curse—— from an illusion that kept me bound for so long. The sight of the white ceiling of my bedroom was the first thing that welcomed me to reality. Then my eyes slowly moved to my surroundings and I didn't expect that I would see Dana here, staring at me. She was sitting on the side of my bed, concern on her face.
