Chapter 40 - Jane
I get the courage to check the bathroom a few minutes after Kadis and Michael go into it. I just about expect to see them all crammed in there. I shudder at the thought of being in that tiny area with those other two. The hideous one seems nice enough. Ugly, but nice. When he asked to shake my hand it took all my willpower not to cringe. Michael was no help either. I felt Kadis tighten his grip, but I was left to decide on my own. I think it was a test. I hope I passed it. The fae, (what did Michael say his name was?) seemed so excited that I agreed. The snake creature, on the other hand, was absolutely terrifying. She was Medusa, but without the snakes on her head.
