Chapter 43 - Kadis
We didn’t go far. Just beyond the campfire light was another camp. This one looked a little more military. Weapons and packs were ready for us. Well, packs and weapons were for the others, I soon found out. My only piece of equipment was a set of handcuffs. Michael insisted that I needed to actually be ‘caught’ for us to access the Box. So this set of handcuffs will actually be placed on me. The cuffs will nullify every power that I have. I will have to rely on Lurenri to protect me. I’m not very reassured, even though both Michael and Zarelmun insist that she cannot betray us again. I’m starting to get really nervous as the others whisper their final preparations. They don’t want me to get involved in case I’m caught. That way I can’t betray anyone. I only know the general plan. I’m just
