Chapter 2

1460 Words
Arken woke up to a terrible headache, akin to a hangover. He sat up quickly, before regretting it just as quickly. Though this time he managed to not retch, the taste of vomit in the mouth still lingered. He touched the side of his head to see if the health potion worked. It seemed fine, but why did his body ache all over? He was a person with an incredibly high pain tolerance, so there should be no problem... Wait, there is a possibility, but if so..Helios. Unlike last time, there was an incredibly faint light that's shining. But Arken had no time to be happy. That old fool! He could have killed me. How could have mixed DEMONS BLOOD into a HEALTH POTION!!!! Arken took a deep breath. Calm down, not everyone is as incredibly smart or handsome as me.  Arken nodded before heading downstairs. He directly left, as he had little money left and it would not do if the world’s best and most handsome leader was arrested for lack of money. The streets were bustling. The sea of people stretched far beyond Arken’s eyesight. Arken blended in with the crowd before finally shuffling off near the gates of the city. He made it out easily though the guards seemed to study his face a little more than others, Hmph! Of course those guards looked longer, they noticed my incomparable glory.  As for why he was heading out of the city was simple, the attention brought by the transformation when one consumed Compressed Blood Stone was not good and often led to death. Arken would rather not die, again, so he went out of the city instead. After continuing on the path, he eventually found a small clearing off to the side that was out of the way, and no one would be there. At least, that was the thought process, so imagine Arken’s surprise when he rounds the corner and sees steam up ahead through the tree line. A natural hot spring? Just the thing I need to relax myself with! Arken confidently strode through the trees and followed the trail of steam. It was only a few minutes before the heat drastically went up in the surroundings, telling Arken that he was on the right path. Then, he saw it, the hot spring. He wasted no time, stripped, and hopped right into the hot spring.  “Ahhhhhh” Pure bliss spread across his face as he relaxed in the hot spring. Ever since he had been reborn, he had been uncomfortable and very unclean, and Arken Valkrov hated not being clean, a bit of a clean freak, but it was better than being filthy. The time seemed to pass, so Arken turned and… “AHHHHHHHHHHHH” There was someone there. To be more specific, it was a woman. She looked to be around 5’7 with fiery red hair and gold eyes, and was honestly quite a beauty, curves in all the right places and no excess fat at least in his vision. She looked dumbfoundedly at the man who crossed his arms across his chest as he looked at her like she had done him wrong. “What are you doing?” She couldn’t help asking, it was too outlandish of a situation. Arken looked at her warily and replied, “You saw me” “Huh?” “You saw my body” Arken’s voice trembled as he looked like he was about to cry. She turned and started walking away. “You're just leaving, now?” The woman didn’t know why, but looking back at his expression, she felt like she had wronged him.  “What do you want?” She couldn’t help herself saying, she did feel guilty, but she also felt that there was something off about the situation. However, Arken just snorted and motioned for her to turn around. She heard the rustling of changing clothes and turned back, all while feeling something was increasingly wrong with the situation. Arken had a gloomy expression as he looked at her, she started to feel uncomfortable, and a little shifty. “What?”  “I’m deciding on your punishment”  “Huh?” she could only ask foolishly as she stared at him. “You *sniffle* peeked at me, and you expect me to do nothing?!?” Arken became very angry at the end of his words. The woman was completely floored.  “Is it that big of a deal?” She shouldn’t have asked that, Arken’s gaze became frosty and he suddenly quieted up and started to leave. “Wait” Why was she saying that she didn’t know, but something told her that she might be in actual trouble later if she didn’t do this thing now. Arken stopped, but didn’t turn back. She sighed, as defeated, and asked, “What do you want in return?” That seemed to bristle Arken, but he didn’t respond. He actually started to walk away until her eyes lit up as she remembered something. “Do you want to have a place where you can easily access things about magic?” He didn’t stop, “Wait! Wait, I’m talking about Gardein Royal Academy!” she yelled the last part, he finally stopped. Gardein? He turned around. “What about it?”  “I’m a 2nd tier student there, it should be easy for me to get you into there, for….” she didn’t elaborate, Arken only coldly snorted. “Alright so I’ll go get that for you, where should I…” she didn’t continue as she noticed that he was getting colder and colder. “I’ll just take you with me” There was less coldness, that was progress, at least. Arken nodded, and she started heading back to the city, or rather towards the transportation. Arken was still in his head when they made it to the transit station. He looked up and his eyes went round, What is this!? Is this a metal Box?!? He unknowingly followed the girl as she bought the tickets and went to first class compartments. Arken was unaware of the fact that he currently looked like a little kid, which almost caused the woman to chuckle. After finally sitting down, she asked, “Is this your first time on a train?” He nodded his head, half paying attention to her now. “It is going to be  a couple of hours till were there. So prepare for the ride” After a few minutes, the train started moving, Arken looked in wonder and amazement at all these things. “What’s your name?” He looked at her. “Why?” She looked frustrated. “Because I think that I should at least know the name of the person I am helping” Arken considered it, and was about to give her his name when he paused. If the academy was what he thought it was, it wouldn’t be that smart to just hand out his name. “Kris” “Just Kris?” Arken nodded, and failed to notice the glimmer of compassion that shone in the woman’s eyes. It was as though that was the perfect explanation for all his weird behavior. “I’m Heather Mistral, nice to meet you”  “Likewise” He was still wary of Heather, don’t get him wrong, it was just that, If what I think is right, then I’ll have fun causing problems for this place. A grin spread across his face. He then looked at his reflection in the mirror and was startled, before remembering that he was indeed, not in his original body. He had short cut black hair with cold blue eyes, he was decently tall around 5’9 and was gaunt. Not as handsome as me, but will do. Going back to his current situation, some would say that it was stupid to follow a stranger in an unfamiliar place but, There is no way that anyone could kidnap me.  There were a few spells that Arken had created in his past life, that would help him get out of a bad situation, of course, it would greatly injure him, but if he could get to a place that he could grow, the payoff was worth the risk. Arken’s eyes glimmered darkly, I hope you don’t disappoint me, hero
