Lorelei Larissa's P.O.V.
"Sh*t." I cursed as I got my bag.
It's time already. I sleep so much. I enjoyed it so much. That's why I am about to get late now.
I still need to submit my output.
I quickly headed downstairs and bid goodbye to our mayordoma.
Thankfully, the car is already fixed. As I got in on it, I told the driver to drive fast because I was getting late.
When I arrived at the university, I looked at my wristwatch. Damn. No chance anymore.
I just headed towards the library. I cannot attend my first subject anymore because the prof there is so terror. I will just be embarrassed in front of everyone if I try to attend it this time, late.
There are only a few people when I get in.
Some students are sleeping while others are reading.
I picked some books to read with and sat on the vacant table.
I still have an hour before my next subject.
Fortunately, the output I am saying is for the next subject. On that subject, I don't want to be late. My output is so important.
I started to read the book. It's interesting, huh.
I was busy reading when someone sat in front of me. I just didn't give attention to that person and just continued reading. I am getting immersed in it.
He faked a cough which gains my attention.
He smirked at me. "Hey," he greeted.
I blinked and greeted him too.
"You don't have class?" he asked.
I scratched my nape. "I'm late," I answered.
He chuckled. "I guess we're meant to be."
My forehead knotted. "What do you mean?" I asked. Confused with what he said.
"Well, I'm late too," Travis answered and laughed.
I laughed along with him when I realized what he meant.
I am not awkward anymore because I get along with him.
We're just talking about some random things and laughing secretly because we are still at the library. It is prohibited to be loud here.
He's fun to be with. Tho he really looks like a bad boy, he is kind. Joker too, I may add.
We stop laughing when someone speaks.
"This is why you want to go to school despite what happened to you," Joziah seriously said.
I bit my lips. Oh gosh. What situation am I in right now?
"It's not what you think," I defended.
He just rolled his eyeballs. "Whatever," he muttered.
He headed to the next table. I frowned when I saw that his girlfriend was sitting there.
Travis faked a cough. "Is there something going on between the both of you?" he asked curiously.
"How can you say so?" I asked back.
"If he can kill me with his stare, I am dead now."
I just laughed at what he said.
Sometimes I really want to assume that Joziah is jealous. That's why he is irritated when he is seeing me with Travis.
Time passed by, both of us headed outside because we still had class.
While Joz and that girl stayed at the library. He's just watching his girlfriend reading some books.
So sweet. But not for me.
Before I could totally leave the library, I glanced at him. He was looking at me too.
When I entered the room, Yuri waved and smiled at me.
"Blooming?" I asked her, which made her blush.
"Boyfriend?" she replied.
She saw me with Travis. Because he sends me here in the room.
We just laugh with each other.
After a minute, the prof entered the classroom.
Everyone is busy listening to the lesson. While me, I am busy thinking about something.
Why does Joziah give a sharp look at Travis?
Is it really possible that he is jealous?
But the looks of his eyes while watching his girlfriend is so in love. You can feel the love from his stares.
I just sighed at that. I gained Yuri's attention because of that.
"Are you okay?" she asked in a whispered tone.
I just nodded my head and gave her a thumbs up.
Joziah you are always running in my mind. How can you be mine again?
The class ended with me not knowing at all what the lesson was all about. What a bad student.
Yuri stands up. "I gotta go. See you around," she said and waved at me.
I fixed my things, then headed to the comfort room before going to my next subject.
I was applying powder when I saw Tania entered the comfort room.
She saw me looking at her, which made her avoid my gaze.
I just watch her doing some things. She even has the guts to smile.
How come this angel is a wrecker of relationship?
She's way too pretty and my insecurities are killing me.
She picked up the lipstick I fell on the floor. When she was done doing her thing, she left.
I remained there. I look at my reflection in the mirror to point out where I went wrong and why he chose her over me.
I cannot get totally mad at Tania. I'm just feeling jealous and insecure.
Every guy will surely fall for her.
I remember when Joziah said that she was so beautiful.
He never said that to me.
I didn't notice that my tears had already fallen. I just wiped it and fix what I look.
I headed outside after that and walked towards my next subject.
When the prof arrived, I erased all the negative thoughts.
He started to discuss the lesson. This time, I am listening. I need to focus on my studies too.
After a while, I get my notebook and write important details.
Lunchtime came and we were dismissed with that class.
I fixed my things and lazily walked outside.
I don't have an appetite today. So, instead of going to the cafeteria, I headed to the garden. I need fresh air to breathe.
I had already informed Sophie that I would not eat with her.
I sat on the bench and got my earphones, then plugged them in my ears.
Tomorrow came, and I woke up early so that I would not get late again.
I headed outside our house and was surprised when I saw Sophie standing there.
"Hey. Come with us?" she asked and made a cute face, which made me say yes to her.
I entered the back seat of Joziah's car. While Sophie is in the front seat.
"Why didn't you eat lunch with us yesterday?" Sophie asked.
I looked in the rearview mirror and I met Joziah's eyes there.
"I'm just busy," I plainly answered.
My best friend raised her eyebrow. "Busy with what?" she asked again.
Is this an interview?
"Study, of course."
"Really?"
"Yup." I said, popping the 'p'.
"Study or to that boy?" Joz interrupted.
My eyes and Sophie's eyes met.
I gulped and looked back at Joz.
Why is he so serious in asking that?
His aura looks so mad and cold at the same time.
"I'm not busy with Travis," I defended.
"Really, huh," he said while still driving.
"Why do you even care?" I asked with courage in my heart.
Sophie just watched at the both of us spitting words.
He just looked at me and glared.
I just blow air and lean on where I am sitting.
We reached the parking lot of the university silently.
"See you later," Sophie said when we got outside the door.
She quickly walked away, that's why I and Joz are left out here.
"I'm going," he said.
I held his elbow and stopped him from going. That's why he looks at me.
"What?" he coldly asked.
"I just want to say that your girlfriend is so beautiful, and I can feel that you love her so much," I said and smiled a little at him.
I removed my hand to his elbow and walked away.
Then this time, he was the one who pulled me.
"Why would you even say things that would hurt you?"
I step back a little from him. "Because that's the truth. I'm nothing compared to her."
He cupped my face as my tears flowed.
He wiped my tears with his thumb.
"Stop crying."
"Then make me stop," I said.
My eyes widened when he pressed his lips on my lips.
But after a second, I responded to him.
He leaned his forehead on mine when we were done kissing.
"You're turning me into a sinner. You are invading my world again," he said almost out of breath, then kissed me again.
