"Cheers to being doomed for the rest of your life, Mike!" I slammed my glass onto his and drained the beer in one go.
Mike, one of my friends, was throwing his bachelor's party tonight. He was getting married to Vivian Leyes, one of the most spoiled women on this planet. I felt sad for him but the party? It was awesome.
Various colours of lights were being thrown on the ground while the people danced like animals to the music. It was blasting in my ears but the couches quietened it a bit.
"I don't even know what her father saw in me," Mike stared at the ceiling, dazed. "I don't even know what she saw in me that she decided to marry me."
I rolled my eyes before pouring myself another cup. "Nor do I."
Just then, my best friend, Stacy popped up beside me and grabbed my glass with a squeal. I glared at her while she drank it down. "You have no manners, damn it."
"Shut up~" she slurred tossing over the glass. "I'm trying to hit on this chick but she won't let me flirt! People who play hard are so misleading."
I rolled my eyes and decided to put a stop to drinking for now. "Mike, I'm going with her and be right back, alright?"
I didn't need to feel guilty about leaving him alone because just then, a group of men approached us and began congratulating Mike on his upcoming marriage. Stacy grabbed my hand and dragged me into the crowd and I thought I noticed someone I knew.
"That's the one, Stacy pointed at the redhead. "Fiery and quick-witted that one."
Slowly, I turned my head towards her. "You found no one else in the world, Stac? That's the woman I slept with a month ago!"
Stacy's face fell apart and before I knew it, she pinched my cheek so hard that I groaned. "Bastard! Now, she is off-limits. But you certainly have a taste in women."
I slapped her hand away and rubbed my cheek. "You go and find another one to flirt." I spotted the redhead noticing me and waving. "I'll try to get lucky a second time."
"Whatever," she rolled her eyes and mingled with the crowd while Celia approached me.
"That was your friend?" she asked, placing her arm over my shoulder.
"Why would everyone assume she's my friend?" I frowned, wrapping an arm around her waist. "What if she was my girlfriend?"
Celia rolled her eyes. "Even if she was, she's way out of your league."
I laughed and before I knew it, Celia dragged me and pinned me to the nearest wall. "Woah, baby–"
"I missed you, you know?" she pointed while tracing lines over my neck. "I missed your touch. Maybe if you lifted the call I made, we could've been on our second date."
"I thought it was a missed call," I said and tugged her closer. "And I don't date. I don't want all that trouble."
"You surely are a beast in the bed," she whispered before kissing me. In the heat of the moment, I heard my phone ring. I ignored it the first time and placed my hands behind Celia's neck, deepening the kiss.
The phone went silent before ringing again.
I pulled away and clicked my tongue. Who the hell was calling me now? Didn't I put in my status that I was at a party? "One minute, sweetheart."
She pouted sadly while I pulled out my phone and saw the caller ID. Why was Stephen calling me this time? I lifted the call and put it near my ear.
"Come home, wherever you are! I don't care if you're half alive or naked, just get here!" he shouted. But the words were cut off by the loud music.
"What!?" I shouted.
"GET YOUR A*S IN THE CAR AND DRIVE TO MY HOUSE!" I heard Ewan's voice shooting up my ear and into my brain.
I cut the call and pushed Celia away gently. "I think there's an emergency at home."
"You're not saying it to avoid me, are you?" I heard her shout. Well, no. But it won't be so hard for her to find another man with her looks.

The moment I walked in the doors of my second brother's penthouse, I began looking around for a crime scene. Everything seemed fine so far. That was when I heard my brothers argue in the living room.
I always felt a bit different from them, as they were older than me. But they never forgot to make me feel included. Maybe that's why they called me to get part in their fight about whatever.
"You are worse than a primate, Ewan," Stephe hissed while palming his face. "Do you have any idea about how much you f*cked up?"
"What happened?" Both of them jumped at my voice. "What did Ewan do?"
My second brother looked at me with a sad look, filled with guilt. As if he sold me to the devil. Stephen sighed and gestured for me to take a seat.
"We are going to tell you something," he began to say. "And you have to promise that you won't freak out."
I say down and waited, knowing that whatever they wanted to say wouldn't benefit me. Once, they stole my toys and pretended not to know for weeks until our mom found them under their bed.
