Hidden Secret

Chapter Three: Manya

"Who was that M?" "Just a close family friend." I smile down at Anna, it's hard for me to believe that after tonight I don't know when I will see her again. "Come on, let's lay down." I hop in bed and pull the covers back so she can crawl in, then I see a note. I quickly grab the note so that Anna doesn't see it. She climbs in bed and not even 10 minutes later she's sound asleep.

I lay in bed for awhile looking at the ceiling, the ceiling that I would never see again after tonight. I grab the note, and wrote in a very elegant handwriting is this,

  " To my dear Manya,

It has been a long time since I had to leave you on that night, and I know you probably don't forgive me, and I understand that. I would of left your brother also but I couldn't. I couldn't lose both of you at the same time. when I left you I had every intention on coming back for you, I wasn't going to leave you there long. Plans changed though, and I couldn't leave Russia to come get you. I know you're reading this note, and I am long gone but your brother isn't. Michael swore the day we left that he would come back for you, and he would keep watch of you to see as though you would never get hurt. I see he has kept his promise. I’m sure you are a beautiful young lady and it saddens me that I can't be there to see you, but I am writing this letter to tell you one thing. On the first full moon of your 19th birthday some things will happen, stay with your brother he will protect you. I love you.

I sit staring at the note. "She wrote this." I whisper to myself. Ace must of left it. I stayed up most of the night, until sleep finally took me. 

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" I open my eyes to Anna jumping up and down on me."I'm...up..." I roll over and tuck my head under the covers.  "M! Your brother is here and be brought me some new toys!" I roll over quickly throwing Anna off the bed. "OMG Anna are you okay?" I lean over the side of the bed and she popped her head up. "Come on!" She grabbed my hand and drag me down stairs and in the living room stood two huge men. One I recognized as Ace, and the other one was the one that was staring at me at the ice cream shop….Michael. Anna lets go of my hand and runs up to Ace who picks her up and tosses her in the air. "Hey squirt, did you wake sleeping beauty up, like I asked?" "Yup!" And she pointed at me. All eyes in the room turned to me and as the guy I didn't recognize turned around I seen a tears form in his eyes and I knew that that was my brother, that was Mikey. I take off running and he met me half way and we embraced in a huge hug. "I missed you Manya." He whispers in my hair and I just hugged him tighter. We stay like this for a couple minutes, until I feel a little tug and my pants leg and I look down to see Anna standing there looking at me. I let go of Mike but he seems to be reluctant about it. I pick Anna up. "Anna this is Mike, my big brother, and Mikey this is Anna my little sister." I smile at them and then out of nowhere Anna jumps from my arms and into Mike's. "I know M he brought me some new toys." She smiles at Mike and gives him a hug around his neck, but I can see he is stiff, he must not be used to kids. I kind of chuckle at him, and he must of heard me. Mike shoots me a look and that made me laugh even more. "Okay, okay Anna, let Mike go, they have to be leaving their plane leaves soon." It is Miss.R that says this, I had almost forgot she was there. "Oh yeah, um okay." I kneel down and wrap her up in a hug. "I love you and I’ll write as soon as I can okay?" I look at Anna and I can see she is trying to hold back tears. "It's okay! Hey look, I'll come back and visit." I wipe the tears from her cheeks and give her another hug. "Okay, it's time to go." I feel a heavy hand on my shoulder. I look up and Mike is standing awkwardly over me. I stand up and go over and give Jack and Miss.R a hug. "I'm going to miss you guys." I can feel the tears around the rim of my eyes. "Don't you cry." Miss. R's rough voice brought me back to reality and I straightened up. "Yes ma'am." I walk over to where my bags are and pick up as many of them as I could but the tears have already started to spill over. Mike walks over and takes all my bags and walks outside. I look down, and then look back at my family for the past 13 years. "Don't drag it out longer than it has to be." Ace leans down and whispers to me. I look at him then back at Anna who is tucked into Miss.R's skirt.  I nod then walk out the door. I can't believe i'm leaving...for good. I stop when I see my car parked in the garage. Do I get to take my jeep?" "Not on the plane ride no, but we will buy you another one once we get to Russia." It is Mike that talks. "Oh.." I look back and think about all the memories in that jeep. Taking Anna outside the house for the first time, rocking out, getting ice cream, and just the jeep itself. I hang my head and look at the ground. Mike is walking in front of me and I see him look at his phone. "Ace, why don't you drive with Manya. I have to business to attend to with Miss.R. I’ll meet you guys at the airport." Ace just nods and walks around a huge Hummer. Weird. "My car is over here Manya." "Oh, okay." I walk around and sitting there is a new black Corvette, with blue accent colors.My mouth makes a big O. Ace looks at me after a minute seeing as how I didn't move. "Do you like it?" He flashes me a smile and I realize I had dool hanging out of my mouth. "Oh, uh yeah it's beautiful." "Thanks now see this beauty is why we can't take your jeep." He kind of chuckles. I look at him kind of questionably. He looks at me and notices the look on my face. "The jet only holds two vehicles and with mine and your brothers cars, yours just wouldn't fit." My mouth hits the floor. "The jet?" He looks at me, kind of like he just told a secret he shouldn't of. "Yes, we have a private jet." He looks ahead and then takes off. I'm just left standing there. A jet! My brother or family or whatever has their own jet! Omg Anna would love this! I look down.

"I know how you feel you know." It is the first time Ace has spoke since we started driving. "What?" I look at him. "I left my mother and little sister when Mike came and ask me to come and watch after you a couple years ago." "Why would he ask you to leave your family?" "Because you're his family and you're important to him, and my family is safe I don't have to worry about them anymore." "Anymore?" I look at him, what does he mean anymore? "You know how Miss.R as you called her, said that your father got in some trouble? Well my family was in the same boat, and when your mother and brother came to Russia, after they left you I'm guessing, we hooked up, and helped each other." He keeps his eyes on the road the whole time he is talking to me. "I see." 

"Yes, we have a private jet here, under the name of Michael King." I look down at the sound of the last name I hadn't used since they left me. "I'm sorry sir but the jet can only be accessed by family." The voice over the speaker says. I muster up my best in control voice, like I belong here and say, "Okay well this is Manya King, Michael's sister." "Do you have a form of ID?" "Yes." A small lady walks up to the car and looks through Ace's window. "ID?" I grab my purse and pull out my driver's license and hand it to her."Okay you can go ahead." Ace grabs my ID back and hands it to me as he is pulling away. "You looked really cute when you was 16." I blush and look down. "Thanks." Ace clears his throat. "Before you see the jet, just know that your brother loves you very very much." I look at him with a questionable look. "Okay?" He speeds up and pulls into a barn and there is a black jet and written in green letters it say "The Manya". My mouth drops, you know it seems that this is very frequent today. "OMG, he named it after me?" "When they came back to Russia, and I met your brother, all he talked about was you. He told me about how small you was and that you would hide in the cabinets, when you played hide and seek, and you know at first it kind of annoyed me , then I listened to him, and the love he had for you made me want to know more about you." He looks at me with sad eyes. "Everyday when we would play he would tell me a different story about you, and how he was coming up with a plan to get you back. I was all for it. Hell I felt like I knew you just from how he talked about you. Everything was Manya would of loved this, Manya would of loved that. It was amazing. So I helped him figure out a plan." He looks at me again. "I'm sorry, that probably sounds so creepy." I look at him. "No, not at all really, I always thought Mike had just grew up and forgot about me, he never wrote or anything." Ace looks at me questionably. "He wrote you all the time. You never got them?" "No!" "Miss.R didn't really like your family, I mean Mike is having to pay a large amount to get  you back." "WHAT?! She wasn't just going to let me go?" "No?" I'm shocked! I can't believe Miss.R would do that. "She knew I had nightmares about him leaving..about being abandoned.." I whisper to myself. "She wasn't a nice woman."  

"I'M HERE! Where's my sister?!" Mike runs onto the plane where me and Ace are sitting watching TV. "Manya!" He runs over and scoops me up in a hug. "Look at you! You're beautiful!" "Mike...can’t....breath." "Oh s**t sorry!" He loosened his hold on me but he didn’t let go completely.  "You have changed so much.." I pull back and look at him. He laughs. "Well you know that's what happens when you grow up." I laugh. "Well I guess you're right." I stand back and look at him some more. This huge body builder looking guy standing in front of me, with his big green eyes, is my brother. The same brother who I thought had left me. He is here, and he came back for me."I missed you Manya." "I missed you too Mikey." I hug him again and then we set down and the jet took off. 

"I'm not sure how the pack will feel about her, she is strong, you can tell that by being near her. The females will not like her but the males will be all over her." The voice speaking seemed saddened by this. I hear a growl. "What was that?" The voice who seemed saddened not one minute ago seemed amused now. "Oh, uh, I don't know why I did that, uh." The deep voice laughed and I shake with the laughter. "What the-" "Hey sleepy head." I set up and realized that I had fell asleep in Mike's lap."s**t, did I wake you up?" "Huh? Oh no, I just I had a weird dream." Across the plane I see Ace kind of shift in his seat. "Well?" I look at them. "Well what?" "Are you going to tell us about this dream?" I had never noticed how thick of a Russian accent they have. "Oh it was nothing." "If you say so." They look at me with suspicion in their eyes. Then I feel a jolt and latch onto Mike. "Hey it's ok, we are just landing." "Oh." When I say this though I don't let go of his arm.
