Chapter sixteen: Manya

As I sit and watch Kade with Rose I can't help but smile. “I look over at Rose’s food and realize I still hadn't ate anything. I stand up and go over and open the fridge grabbing the milk and making me a bowl of cereal. Ace is still looking at me and I can feel it. “He just feels bad moya lyubov'. He wants you to be his.” I hear Kate's voice in my head. I look over at him and Rose is asleep in his lap. I smile to myself and start eating my cereal. “We are going to go run our perimeter runs for the night.” Michael says and him and Ace stand up. Mike walks over to me and hugs me and whispers in my ear. “It will all work out.” He says and squeezes me. I give him a small smile, and watch him as he leaves the room. “Where is she going to sleep?” Kade asks standing up hold her close to him. “She can sleep in my room I'll sleep on the couch.” I say and put my bowl in the sink and start to head towards the stairs. 

The walk to my room was silent. I open my bedroom door and Kade walks in behind me and puts Rose on the bed. She is a beautiful little girl, and reminds me of Anna so much. “Want to come watch a movie?” Kade asks and his accents sends a chill through my spine. I nod and start to walk out of the room with him right behind me. “I'm sorry.” I say when we finally make it to the living room. “Why?” He asks. “For running off like that..I know I could of got hurt, but I just needed to think, and I was nervous.” I say and look down. Kade grabs me and pulls me in for a hug. I'm not sure what to do but I slowly hug him back. I feel whole with him hugging me and when he lets go, I feel empty. “I don't know how to handle this.” I whisper. “It's okay Moya Lyubov'. It's okay.” He whispers. He pulls me into a hug again and we stay like that for a minute. Soon though he lets go and I go find a movie and put it into the DVD player and Deadpool starts playing. Kade sits on the couch and once the movie starts I join him with a bowl of popcorn. He grabs a large handful and shoves it into his mouth and moans. I look at him laughing. “You don't realize how long it has been since I have had popcorn moya lyubov' and I now I remember why it is my favorite.” Kade says smiling with popcorn in his mouth, and I can't help but laugh. “So what are we watching?” He ask mouth still full of popcorn. “Deadpool, you will love it.” I say and snuggle into his chest missing the feel of him touching me. He grumbles and I smile.

An hour later Kade is laughing so hard tears are in his eyes. He has the riches laugh I have ever heard,and I can't help but smile. We are having so much fun when all of a sudden Kade just stops and stands and walks to the door. I stay on the couch unsure what he is doing. He opens a door and there is a guy there, he is probably around 18, my age. “Can I help you?” Kade asks his voice strained. “I-I-I-ya ischu svoyu malenkuyu sestru, ya ostavil yeye v lesu, chtoby nayti steal- ya imeyu v vidu poluchit' nekotorie pishu, no kogda ya vernulsya, ona ischezla. Eto blizhniy dom i ... ". I walk up behind Kade and peek around his side. The boy is dirtier than I thought and looked a lot like Rose. I look up at Kade. “What did he say?” I ask knowing he is speaking Russian. “He says he left his little sister in the woods to go find some food but when he came back she was gone.” Kaede explains to me. I look at him. What is his name? I ask Kade using him as a translator. kak zovut svoyu sestru? Kade asks him in a deep voice, and it sends a shiver through me at the sound of him using his native language. The boy just stares at me and doesn't say anything. I look at Kade and I hear a growl come from him and it knocks the boy out of his trance. “Roza, yeye zovut Roza. Mne ochen' zhal', chto ona prosto ochen' krasivo.” Kade growls again and I grab his hand. “What did he say?” I ask. “He says you are very beautiful and his sisters name is Rose.” Kade says gritting his teeth. “It's okay.” I say tucking into his side hoping to calm his wolf. “Vy znaete, gde Rouz?” The boy looks at us. “He asked where Rose is.” At that time I hear little footsteps running down the stairs. Rose comes running past us and into the boys open arms. “Bubba! Bubba! YA dumal, chto ty ostavil menya!" She yells as she is running. "YA by nevr ostavit' vas!" Kade squeezes me. I smile and look at Rose. “Is this your brother?” I ask Rose and kneel down. “Yes!” I thought he left me!” I smile at her cuddling into the boy. “Why do you speak English and your bubba doesn't?” I ask again curious. “I get to go to school. Caleb doesn't.” I look up at Kade and he shrugs. “You both can stay here tonight if you would like.” I tell Rose and she asks her brother. She looks skeptical but finally agrees, and we show them to their rooms. 

“What do you think?” I ask Kade when we finally make it back to the couch. “There is something off with him. I'm not sure though.” He says looking straight ahead. It hurts he isn't looking at me. I look down and then lay down and put my head in his lap. He starts playing with my hair and I can feel myself drifting asleep, and then he starts humming a song, and soon I'm sound asleep, but the song keeps playing through my head. 

I roll over and hit something hard. I put my hand up and feel a chest moving up and down. I slowly open my eyes and see Kade laying there shirtless and just in some shorts. I push myself up on my arms and look at him. “Damn.” I think to myself I thought Ace was fine looking, but he is nothing compared to Kade. I absentmindedly like my lips and I feel Kade chuckle. I look up and see his eyes are open watching my. “moya lyubov' your thoughts are very loud.” He keeps on laughing and I can't help but giggle also. “Sorry.” I mumble and roll back over. Then it hits me. I'm in bed with Kade. KADE! The man I had only just met yesterday! Oh god what's happening to me. “I don't see a problem with it.” Kades voice echos in my mind. I look at him. “I do!” I say and get up. I look back at him one last time. Hands behind his head, chest exposed, muscles flexing- God Manya stop it! I chastise myself and leave the room. As soon as I walk out the door I'm hit by a very excited Rose. “Hey there.” I say and pick her up. “Where is Kade?” She asks looking around. “He is asleep.” I say and start to walk away. “I am not!” Kade says walking out of the room rocking offended in a tight shirt and some low hanging sweat pants. I can't help but stare. Rose wiggles out of my arms and runs to him. “Hey pretty girl.” He says and picks her up. “I just wanted to say goodbye me and Caleb are leaving. Mike said something happened.” I look at Kade. “Well goodbye then sweetheart” Kade says and hugs her tight. When he puts her down she runs away and we run toward Mike's office. 

     “What's going on?” I ask opening the door to Mike's office and walking in. He is seething. Ace looks at me then starts toward me, but Kade steps in front of me. Ace looks seriously pissed. Mike turns toward me. His eyes soften when he sees me. “Manya.” He starts to take a step towards me, but I stay behind Kade. “It's Anna, she is missing. Miss. R called and thought you had came and took her.” Mike said. I look at him. “You're joking.” I say and push Kade aside. “I'm not”, he says and walks towards me. “No.” I say and push him away. “This is your fault!” I yell. “You left me! You made it where I had to stay at that house! You brought me here! Away from her!” I scream and run at him. I hit him and it was like hitting a brick wall. I didn't care though. I hit him until I couldn't feel my fist anymore. I kept hitting him and screaming until I felt someone pulling me away. I look up at Mike and he has tears in his eyes. This just pisses me off even more though and I try and lunge at him again. “Come on Moya Lyubov'. It's okay we will find her.” I turn around and look up at who has me. I don't need to to know who it is but it helps. I look at Kade and I can see the look in his eyes. I can't hold up anymore and my legs give out, but he catches me and I just cry into his shoulder. “Shhh.” He says as I cling to him.
