Alexander’s POV
“What the hell were you thinking Alex? You can’t just walk out of the hospital in your condition.”
“Brother, I understand you are worried, but don’t be. I’m fine. Finding Serenity is much more important.”
“That is what we wanted to talk to you about.”
We were all sitting in my hotel room. Liam had called the hospital to find out I wasn’t there and hadn’t been in a few days. When he called my cell, I answered, and we agreed to meet here. The detective had valuable information to share with me.
“Okay then. Spit it out.”
The detective spoke instead. “Mr. Woods, as of right now we have to put this investigation on hold within the department.”
“WHY?”
