It has now been a year since Serenity has been out of the hospital. Things were going great. She still wouldn’t give me the time of day when it came to our relationship. She talked to me like I was the best guy friend she had in the whole world. Her recovery was extremely hard on the both of us. I had to watch as she spent many of nights crying from the amount of pain she was. Over several months a physical therapist helped her to gain control over her body again. She was now back to walking around right and even took up kickboxing. She said that it made her feel strong again and that is what she needed in her life.
